    Good afternoon,
Had a lovely night out last night with my friends, i havnt been out for so long so it was nice to get out!!!
Unfortunatly, had to be up early this morning, to take DS to football, so ive just had 2 1/2 hours standing in a cold muddy field watching a group of 9 year olds roll around in the mud, but hey, they had fun!!!! They drew 1 - 1 and DS played well so we are all happy.
Got home to find my mum has made a lovely roast, pork with crispy crackling, yum!!!
Loads to do now tho, havnt had the WM on for a few days, and the washing has now started escaping from the basket, so the first of many loads is on now, and will do a big clean once my mum has gone, i havnt seen much of her so far, as i had my course, going out and then the football this morning, so want to catch up before she goes.
    Take care everyone,
    Catherine x

This is why I am soooo glad that DS1 is no good at footy as well as having no inclination to play :D

I've been quite busy this morning - made the most of not having to get up early by staying in bed till 8.30. I feel sorry for all of you with kids who decide 4am is a good time to get up. I guess there are some advantages to living on your own.

Had the WM on this morning - i tend to wait tili've got nothing left to wear then wash it all over the course of one weekend. Of course being a single bloke the whole concept of separating colours and whites is alien to me. I got the WM when i used to live in a shared house and when we all moved out i got to keep it :). In the six years i have had it setting 3 (not sure what it does) seems to do the trick - so i stick with that. For all of you shrieking in horror now i have a (male) friend who for about a year set his WM/drier - to extra spin (or something similar) he was always impressed how dry the clothes came out - it took his new girlfriend to point out that all he had been doing was spinning his clothes around - without them being actually washed !!

Went for a longer than normal run this morning due to not doing anything active yesterday. Did a couple of hours of studying (after a shower :) ).

Popped to the co-op to see if i could get some sunday bargins - i wanted mushrooms (see my other thread this morning) they didn't have any but i did get quite a bit of salad stuff half price and 6 big bananas for 40p. They look a bit brown but are perfectly fine.

took out what i thought was frozen chilli last night to eat this evening - it is sausauge casserole again ! thats 3 days running now. I really should put some labels on things when i freeze them.

Nothing much planned for the rest of the day - a bit of on line poker, a bit of painting and maybe a bit more studying.

Have a good rest of weekend

Hi Yall, Had a great time last night (thanks for asking:A ) I found out I was the unofficial caberet booked for the evening! Why is it always me? hehehe. I wouldn't mind but next to Mrs MATH I'm positively demur;)

My new specs make me a dead ringer for Harry Hill (apparently:rolleyes: ) so I spent the whole evening with my shirt coller turned up going "heeey":D
The band was good, I brought a few dance floor moves from the 80's to the younger generations attention:eek: and ate my own body weight (which is 4lbs lighter than at Jan 1st:j ) in usual buffet fayre.

Been to church this morning and a nice quiet day planned. May go for a LONG walk later. Squeaky claims my long walks are not long enough in his opinion (more Cheeky than Squeaky in my opinion) so I may push myself a bit further today. When I get to the sign thats says "BEYOND THIS POINT THERE DO BE DRAGONS" I will turn back and head for home.

    Have a good Day

MATH - from Richard Fairbrass to Harry Hill in the same month - whatever next? :D

It's all those vol au vents going straight to your head. Desist this behaviour right now or I shall be forced to send the wrath of CQ down upon your newly shorn and undoubtedly highly polished noggin :rotfl:

Anyway, if you want to avoid the dragons, don't be walking that way. Go north young man. Suffolk is known for it's fearsome beasties :D:D

:rotfl: :rotfl: I'VE JUST SPRAYED THE SCREEN WITH COFFEE!:rotfl: :rotfl:
Had a lovely bath, for all of 15 mins until ds decided to wake up and join me for some splashing games  . Anyways, up and dressed and have been to Lakeside for some sale bargains. Got 20m xmas wrap at boots for £1, xmas crackers for £2.49, lots of the aromatherapy range for NOTHING as had lots of £1 vouchers from the "change one thing books", 3 leather photo albums originally £17 each for £5 each in the clearance section :T and had a £5 voucher so only paid £10 for them. At Argos I collected my juicer which was paid for with vouchers from shopandscan. At early learning I returned a doll which dd got for xmas but was faulty. Got full refund of £30 even though we paid £24 as was 20% off at the time and came with a free £25 accessories pack which they forgot to ask for back! Used the £30 giftcard refund to buy bits in sale and now have dd1 and ds birthdays fully sorted!!!!! FANTASTIC, I love a bargain!!!!!

Sitting down to a lovely full strength coffee now :p and then will do baking with the kids.

    Chat later,
    Al.

Good Afternoon to everyone, although I trust some of you will be having well-deserved naps by now. DD was an appalling sleeper until 5years old and I remember those years as though through a fog! It combined well (not) with DS being an early riser!

Still active DS plays for a rugby team plus school teams for everything so life feels dominated by his fixtures and dirty sportsgear. So rugby all morning, his team won 28-7 against one of their main rivals so they had to work hard for their win. Whilst freezing on the touch line I kept envisioning the sausage casserole simmering in the SC- what kind of mother am I? We ate that for lunch with the Cheesy flatbreads I made yesterday which were absolutely delicious even tho' I say it myself.

Got muddy washing to do and school stuff to sort out but as DD and DS are out I am going to enjoy a cosy fire in the sitting room and snuggle up with a book for an hour. DH is out cutting logs with the chainsaw so that is spoiling the peace somewhat for me and the neighbours. Not that they don't do the same sometimes too.

No room in the freezer now for much thank goodness, so apart from preparing a lasagne for tomorrow and a Smoked salmon Rosti for tonight, no more real cooking to do for a few days. Hurrah!

Take care all and enjoy the rest of your Sunday.
