Sounds like lots of people have given you some great ideas re how you can get yourself some kind of experience, hope it all works out for you, especially as your career choice is such a beneficial and helpful one.

Just a quick question, hows the debt and the list going!

ah, the debt and the list,

I was rather hoping nobody would notice I hadn't mentioned much about either of those things...

    The List
I can now tick off "read origin of the species" but not much else. I am hoping to do something about that soon

    The Debt
Is not going anywhere fast (and the way the numbers are falling it actually looks like it is increasing...)

It isn't getting any worse in reality but as I am having to pay off my course now the numbers have all shifted about at bit. I need to get everything written down this week (if I'm feeling brave I'll share it with you).

My spending has been much less lately so I'm hoping that it will start to be reflected in the numbers.

is it supposted to look worse before it gets better?!

...the diary is to help you keep on top of things! You were going to take a break over Christmas I recall. Absolutely nobody is going to tell you off if things have gone a little off track, just help you get back on course.

Unfortunately, you and I are in the same situation of having to do the equivalent of buying our freedom by paying off our debts. I have faith in you KT!

Today I bought a private Island!!

Obviously not really, but I have been playing a very fun game of make-believe today. I know that I want to retire early enough to enjoy myself and be active. That means having a good pension (sorted) and sorting out my finances so I use less money for the things I really want. That and knowing what i already have.

I know I need to get my act together if I am going to get these windows that my mum and dad are kindly getting for me. That means a clear out (I know I know "The Big Clearout"...) I have no idea when I will have time but I have it all planned out in my head... now if I could only get out of my own head for 5minutes...

I have to drive tomorrow even though it isn't my week. I'll be able to claim the day back in a re-arrangement of who drives when (oh I'm talking car share to work by the way!). The person who's week it is has a car that sounds ready to die. and wee warning lights were flashing at him. the other person drove (to make sure we'd get to work) but he isn't going in tomorrow so it'll be my turn.

Fingers crossed his car doesn't cost him too much to get fixed.

I better get back to work. none of what I am working on is working, but I finish at 4 so if I can just hide until then maybe I won't need to fix it until tomorrow... Oops, I'm showing my lack of motivation here aren't I?

50mins and then i can sleep in the car home. I can't wait! (it's around an hour door to door, if I can sleep it goes in faster)

You could kick everything away from the windows into the centre of the room to clear the way for the workmen :rotfl:Or you could do it properly and clear your mind at the same time! I find that a clear out motivates me for all sorts of other things. Set the timer on the cooker for half an hour and see how much you get done. Do the same next day and so on, it'll be done in no time at all!

I know because I've done it. Just make sure your undies are not on top of the pile. Otherwise, you'll really know what embarrassment is :o
