Well, better late then never.
Here is my little review of Santa's visit.
I received many lovely gifts the most major one being the promise of double glazing for my flat in the new year from my parents. It is incredibly generous of them.
I got lots of nice smelly stuff so shouldn't need new body butters, lotions, potions or shower gels for months.
I got new slipper boots things to help keep my feet toasty till I get new windows! hee hee
I have a CD, a couple of books, one of which is very interesting "Love is not enough - The smart girls guide to money" It is fabulous, and I highly recommend it to everyone.
My other favourite present is still my gremlin though! For anyone who missed this note on the "what small DFW things" thread at Christmas it turns inside out, one side is Mogwai and the other is a gremlin. it is total genius!
That is all for this post. there are a few still to come though!

I woke up in my own flat beside a hyperactive OH telling me Santa had been and we should get up and open our presents. Later was dinner at my folks. as usual dad bought a turkey to feed 8 to 10 people (there were 4 of us:rolleyes: )
We stayed there for a few hours, it was relaxing and fun (and for me - sober)
I was the driver for the day so next stop was the OH family run. First to his mum, gran and little brother and that side of the family. That part was not ideal but we survived, didn't stay long.
next was OH's dad. when we arrived we were in the kitchen and handed our presents. I was shocked at mine - a Links of London bracelet. He jokes about calling me the daughter in law (OH and I have been together 3 and half years, are not married and don't ever want to get married). I guess he likes me after all. OH got a new laptop (desperately needed) Christmas like this is a first. This is a family that have never been rich (or even really debt rich from what I can tell) but thanks to an injury settlement last month OH's dad wanted to treat everyone in a way he's never been able to before. It was lovely.
most of the rest of the holiday has been spent relaxing with OH, introducing each other to films the other hadn't seen. The rest of the time has been spent catching up with friends. All in all I call it a success.
Tonight I am back on my own again, the flat is too quiet, but at least I can be a star across the middle of the bed tonight!:hello: - Proud to be dealing with my debts!:j DFW nerd No. 1011!

Ktjazz, it sounds like your Christmas was a very special and wonderful time.
Although Christmas isn't about the gifts or how much someone has spent, what shines through from your post, is that although the main presents ie double glazing and the links of london bracelet are expensive, they have such big meanings tied to them and the people who have given them have evidently put a lot of thought into them. I think you are very lucky to have such wonderful people in your life and am sure they are lucky to have you.:j Live on £4500, £2531/£4500:T 101 in 1001 (52/101):j:beer::j

What a bloomin' day...
It looks like my car is going to need a new battery very soon. I had to call my dad to come down and jump start it again today. My car now looks like a motorcar ambulance, it has jump leads, a booster pack and as a last resort a tow rope all inside it.
I got the car started to meet OH who had decided to buy me lunch. That was a lovely time.:kisses3: Thanks honey!
I got back to the car to find a bl00dy parking ticket. It was entirely my fault though. I went insde the pub to get change and totally forgot to go back out. £30. Ragin'!!
on the plus side, kinda, I counted my pot of change and bagged what I could. I started it a couple of months ago. I bagged £28 so I have no change but my parking ticket is only going to cost me £2.:wall: (why do I bother?!)
Oh well...
I'll be back tomorrow hopefully with two posts, my review of 2008 and a seperate one with my new years resolutions.
I need to go for a quick nap before my samaritans twilight shift tonight. (I start at 11)
Hugs everyone.:hello: - Proud to be dealing with my debts!:j DFW nerd No. 1011!
