Think we had a dusting of snow, but all that is left is that which is collected at the bottom of the slide. I shan't tell the kids some of you have any they will only moan. When I think about it I don't think we have had enough for W to sledge in since he was born and he will be 6 in January.

Lil me - So sorry for your troubles. Some people are so inconsiderate, especially as you made a particular request for you little one. Grrrrrrrrr.

Pink - Hope pups are okay...they're both such cuties

Emily - Congrats on your bungalow, I hope it's everything you've been told.

We've got snow!!!!:j Of the actually settled variety. Wont last long, a disadvantage to living in the city centre, poeple walking/driving all over my precious snow! Ah Well.

Right, gonna go make a move towards tidying in the living room. Hope all poorlies are feeling better and wrapped up warm, it a bit chilly out there, and I gotta brave it to go to Mr T's. Loves to all!!!!!

  • AnW's mum - same here with sledges. DD was born in Germany. We came home for Christmas and when we got back it was to about 6' snow, so we bought a lovely wooden sledge and made a back rest for her, coz you couldn't push a pram! It was great. There's 7 year between her and DS, who is now 17, and I think he had the sledge out once a few years ago in North Somerset! I do remember one year when there was a bit of snow so I promised him I'd take the sledge to school to bring him home. I did, but by the next morning it had all gone! I'm sure we had more snow when I was a kid (like bigger Cadbury's Creme Eggs etc) but I can remember building snowmen and freezing gloves etc and there rarely seems enough these days.

Lil-me - so sorry to hear about the house I'll keep my fingers crossed and send positive 'new home' vibes your way. How much notice do you need to give?

Slept better last night - I think it helped having eaten something. DD was wonderful last night and cooked up some 4 cheese ravioli in a tomato sauce (not very OS as it was premade!) - with salad. I managed quite a bit. I think today is going to be a regroup day. I'm no longer feverish, my cough is loosening but 2.5 days lying about doing nothing has left me weak. I need to start doing small things again -don't worry, I'll do it carefully. DD's coming over this afternoon so, if the rain's stopped, I might get her to come out with me and the dog to take a turn round the cricket field. A bit of fresh air, some gentle exercise should help me. I think work tomorrow is a no-no but I'll plan for Tuesday.

lil_me I just read about your landlady possibly coming back. That is awful for you and the boys. I do hope she changes her mind and stays away. I understand, so much, the need to keep the boys where they are settled. Please try not to worry too much, especially before Christmas. It doesn't seem five minutes since you moved into your present place. Maybe you can get some free advice from CAB.

Our snow from yesterday has almost gone, and there wasn't enough for skiiing either. That was for DS3 not me!! I am still in bed keeping warm. Oo the sun has come out, its about three weeks since I last saw it.

Soappie, I am glad you are feeing a bit better, keep warm and don't do too much.

Morning all! :hello: Rain and drizzle here...which might account for why I didn't get up till about 9.20am ;) However I'd also been babysitting last night and didn't get to sleep till 2am.

Just drinking my coffee and then I need to make breakfast for everyone, bacon, eggs and toast...yum! Although I need to be good. Also have to light a fire as it's a bit chilly today...although saying that I don't think sitting here with no jumper or socks on helps
Fluttering about an inch off the ground, I may fly properly one day and soar in the clouds!
