Am gutted as my friend has just phoned and some idiot has driven into the back of her van  Thankfully, she is ok - a bit shaken but no injuries, but the police are having to take her back home as the back lights are broken  Doesn't look like she'll be able to come out with me tonight now - and we were both really looking forward to it
you could always do some ironing instead :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

We have had at least another two inches overnight - I ain't going nowhere.
Sitting here munching toast and supping tea. The heating is on and the house is warming up according to the thermometers but my hands are cold and I can't get going.
Thanks Crafty and JulieJim, got there and back ok, was an accident on the M25 at about junction 24 but was all OK from then on - and coming home was fine as no snow, just rain... don't fancy it when it freezes though - think I got back just in time...
Not caught up yet, only read page 95 will try to catch up before the new thread starts, but from what I can see, hugs Lil_me - looks like you are having to move out of your home - how awful for you. Can you stay until after Christmas? What about checking out with the council? I know when we had to move out of our rented place, the council rehoused us as homeless. We gave them the date we had to move on, and they were able to give us a place of our own. Not brilliant, and we were classed as homeless accommodation for nearly 3 years before we were given our own place and they can put you where they like - it also means you can't exchange, ect while you are in it. Might be worth checking out for the longer, more settled outlook, plus the rent is cheaper (we were paying £850 per month private, and is now £103 pw (about £450 average per month)
How did the party go Pigpen?
Soappie, glad to hear you are feeling better....
Have been working on a beautiful house this weekend in Silsoe - big barn conversion with mahoussive kitchen and lounge - absolutly fantastic views and all the bits I want in my dream home... well, I can but dream about a lottery win eh!...;)
Right, hoping to get rid of this blasted headache I've had all day and will then try to catch up... hugs to those who need them x x xLBM April 2013 - £29,000.00Vanquis CC's PAID - Debenhams SC PAID - A+L OD PAID - Asda CC £783.75Barclaycard CC £1400.78 - BoS CC PAID - Freemans Cat PAIDF/D Loan & CC £1458.96 - Santander Loan PAID - Mum Loan PAIDRBS OD PAID - F/D OD £1026.52Weekly Grocery Challenge - £95.00 budget / spend £-0 -
Flower when you catch up you'll see the post saying at the mo she doesn't want this house back yet, but regardless I am calling the council on Monday to see where we are on the list (It must be over 6 years on there now, would have been longer but they lost our application)
Zoey, phone them again, you can't be left without heating because you have a little one in the house. Phone them back, as long as there is less than 50p on the meter they must send someone out. It's usually sorted within one hour. One day I might be more organised...........

Rach - I had a row with DH yesterday - last night I went upstairs to bed at around 8 as DH was up there and had been for a while so I got into bed thinking we were going to watch TV which is what he was doing and he came downstairs! He hasn't spoken to me at all today, he's either been in the shed or upstairs (where he is at the moment). He came down for his dinner but sat in silence. He's been out twice without even telling me he was going out or asking if we needed anything!
I get this with my DH sometimes. Men! B****y irritating things aren't they? It's times like that I could just cheerfully strangle him and/or pack his bags and tell him to sling it back to South Africa if that will make him happier  Trouble is men are so infantile. I'm sure he'll snap out of it soon.0 -
DD has been introduced to Eve's pudding and has declared it her favourite. She had some today though as she went to mum's while we were at football (away game) so the Victoria Sponge mum was making was miraculously transformed into Eve's pudding due to timing of our phone call...
Is that apple with sponge on the top? If so, how do you get it to actually cook properlyMine usually looks beautiful - until I come to serve it up and there's a whole load of uncooked sponge in the middle

Going to start a shopping list for this week - who wants to join me in a 'use up from the freezer challenge so we can defrost next week before stocking up for Christmas? I'm starting now with pizza for tea:rotfl: Had friends for dinner last night so I'm all cooked out.
I do, need to eat the contents as we're going away at chrimbo and I want to use up some of my vast food reserves.:DDFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08

Me me me Dusty, I so need that! I might not have enough until Xmas but I need to stop refilling it. I made the excuse to myself yesterday that the butchers stuff was for the fridge knowing I would have to freeze some of it. I have a mountain of mince I need inspiration for. It's the cupboards aswell as the freezer, seriously it's ridiculous. I keep popping in the GC thread and storecupboard one but my motivations just not there
(pleased your DS is ok)
Right, that's it, I VOW to only buy what we need for the next ermm.....week...that'll do to start with! I will confess in here to anything I buy and why it's been bought........(because having to confess scares the life out of me and stops me buying!)
***shudders*** you all know how much I like having full cupboards/freezer, it's my comfort zone, but I need to do this.........
We could be twins, full cupboards is also my comfort zone too but they spill out everywhere.:oDFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08

I haven't seen if anyone claimed this or not yet as i'm well behind as usual, but i could use it if you still have it, please. I spend too much in Boots so it would be well appreciated. PM me about it if it is still available.
