Off to start dinner (Tarte au Flette) then while it's cooking we can start moving stuff downstairs. What's that?
Rocket or not if he's got the motivation get it done while he has, my DPs away most weekends until xmas now, well the Sundays, when he isn't he'll be working apart from the 7th which is why we've asked my Mam to babysit then so we can go out. I used to be in the ATC, I considered going back civi as instructor but it's just too much at the mo, maybe when the boys are older if they join. One day I might be more organised...........

Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -
Dusty Hope DS1 is ok and you manage the get the roof sorted.
Have finished my book and Im now going to look at my xmas list whats still needed. My Waterstones order is on the way so knowing my luck it will come tomorrow when Im out with DD.0 -
Soappie's Chicken soup
I just saute up a chopped onion in butter or olive oil then lob in whatever root veg I happen to have around, a bit of celery, some potatoes cut small perhaps as well then any remains of the chicken meat. Throw the chicken stock on top (having scraped off any fat first), bring it to a boil and then simmer until the veg are soft. Sometimes I add a tin of toms too and occasionally thicking with a bit of origina Bisto. Served with a hunk of bread, it's a meal in itself.
DS update - hubbie just rang, they x-rayed and no break. They say nail came out of the bed and went back in - hence the bleeding so it is dressed now and just soft tissue damage so pain killers and watch for infection.
Going to start a shopping list for this week - who wants to join me in a 'use up from the freezer challenge so we can defrost next week before stocking up for Christmas? I'm starting now with pizza for tea:rotfl: Had friends for dinner last night so I'm all cooked out.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Me me me Dusty, I so need that! I might not have enough until Xmas but I need to stop refilling it. I made the excuse to myself yesterday that the butchers stuff was for the fridge knowing I would have to freeze some of it. I have a mountain of mince I need inspiration for. It's the cupboards aswell as the freezer, seriously it's ridiculous. I keep popping in the GC thread and storecupboard one but my motivations just not there
(pleased your DS is ok)
Right, that's it, I VOW to only buy what we need for the next ermm.....week...that'll do to start with! I will confess in here to anything I buy and why it's been bought........(because having to confess scares the life out of me and stops me buying!)
***shudders*** you all know how much I like having full cupboards/freezer, it's my comfort zone, but I need to do this.........One day I might be more organised...........

Curries, hmmm, recipe email/pm/link/post please
Can I do that chicken soup recipe with something instead of celery? plah, hate the stuff
Oh and tonight I will make the kids teas, but not mine as DP is buying which doesn't happen often!
HOW DARK! I had only had the laptop on, went to walk across the room, closed it and fell over because it's dark **shouts child to come and remove his shoes off the floor!**
Thats a good idea for a MACAW actually
My MACAW for next week - I WILL ONLY BUY WHAT I NEED AND WILL POST WHAT I HAVE BOUGHT AND WHY
That should solve it, so I am not seen as cheating I get milk delivered, just under what we usually use, so that's not included in mine. Everything else is, clothes, books, food, drinks, pet stuff (we don't need pet food but I am a devil for getting them treats and they have a cupboard full!!!). Christmas presents comes under 'what I need' if they are on the list so won't include those. All left over budget money from food, treats and clothes budget goes into my xmas night out fund on the 7th!
Oh yes, if VAT reduces, is it worth us hanging around before buying any more gifts? One day I might be more organised...........

I just fry off the mince and bung it into the slow cooker with curry sauce for a couple of hours. Want to get some funky Indian books after Chrimbo so I can make yummy sauces of my own.
I never put celery in any of my soups...I only like it with peanut butterNow MARRIED!11/09/100
