  • Morning All :hello:

Esp Tag, JulieJim and Summer, and anyone else who's got up since I started typing!
Well, I'm loving the booze free me.... totally unusual! But hey, I'm so sick of being ill all the bloomin time, so drastic measures are called for! I've committed to being booze free for a month. 7 days no booze = 3lbs lost!!!!!!! Now that's a happy side effect!
SO, the house looks lovely. I've got no money at all, but £200's worth of boots vouchers from all our American Express points collected over the years.. so at least we can pay for christmas... YAY!

Funny old change of mind set!!!

    Right, today's list:

Sorting out washed and folded clothes upstairs
    Roast Lamb dinner
    BM sorted
Re-make DD3's bed  (wet bed last night)
    Trawl though Boots online.

    Sure there's more!
DD1's off to stay with Grandma for a week. So she'll need to pack and get generally sorted.

    Ok, see you all later.

  • That's brilliant. I love my slow cooker as well. It's so nice (when I have time to load it) to come in from work smelling dinner's ready, especially at this time of year when it's so cold!

The internet is a wonderful thing. I've just printed off the instruction manual for the slow cooker. Wasn't sure on the settings and timings for it, and there's 26 receipes in it. :j

Think I shall be trying a few of them out. I love slow cookers. They really are my kind of cooking.:D
    :T :T :T :T

That's exactly what I did Tag!!! I was given mine (6.5l Morphy Richards) without the knob. I ordered the replacement knob online, (£2.78) and downloaded the instructions.

I love it so much! Particularly after I read the slowcooker thread, and picked some tips from there.

Morning ladies (and any gents who might still be about)

Not been about much this week -again! but I will be today as not going anywhere and have a whole weeks list to do something from. have not read all 1800 or more posts  so please accept my apologies if I havent supported you where you need it.

Its just started snowing in the last half hour so DD is outside chucking snowballs at the windows  and the doogie has been barking at the snow. We also have a sprinkling in the middle room where doogie shook it all over me.

So far this morning I have
    • loaded dishwasher with last nights tea things :o
    • sorted washing
    • loaded WM with first load
    • Baked GF Breakfast Muffins - just waiting to cool
    • Put apricots on ready to make jam
    • Put bleach down cloakroom toilet
    • Drain cleaner/unblocker down kitchen sink
Now I need to munch brekkie muffins with a cuppa then shower, dress and crack on.

    See you all later

I think I have figured the reason for DS3's recent 'behaviour' .. lack of the old omega capsules!.. must buy more this week!

    Morning all

I have managed to get W to keep taking his omega3s. I just shove them in his mouth and sit there making him take sips of milk/juice until he does swallow them! This mornings was the easiest as it only took one sip and it was gone :T

So sorry to hear you might have to move again lil_me :( I am so thankful that we could afford to buy when we did as I know there is no way I would be able to afford to rent anything remotely like this on my wage alone. I really hope it gets resolved for you and quickly.

Good luck with the snow FF. Please drive carefully!!!
We have had at least another two inches overnight - I ain't going nowhere.

Sitting here munching toast and supping tea. The heating is on and the house is warming up according to the thermometers but my hands are cold and I can't get going.
  • You lucky people with snow! We've got a howling wind and heavy icy rain! Yuck!!!

Think it's time I kicked some people out of bed so I can do some vacuuming upstairs. (or is that mean, just cause I've been up for three hours!)
