    Evening all,

I went to bed last night and Oh text me at 2.30am to say he'd got home. He must of got a taxi pretty much straight away. I've dragged him shopping with me for most of the day as punishment;) .

Hugs to Lil_me i hope your not going to have to find somewhere else now you're all settled. It's so frustrating renting sometimes.

Emily , good news on the bungalow:j .

Johanne, theres no shame in needing some time to yourself. I don't have any family nearby that can help even for an hour so when Ds2 gave up his afternoon nap i was distraught:o that 2 hours was what kept me going through the day. Now he goes to nursery 2 afternoons a week and that keeps me sane:rolleyes: . My OH doesn't do as much as he should so i'm probably not the one to advise, but i do agree with everyone else.

Pinkfairy i live between Newport and Chepstow.

Sorry if i've forgotten anyone i'm really tired now.

Thanks for all your support, it is very much appreciated. PF I don't think you were around last time we moved, but then I had a letter from DS1s psychiatrist saying it was very important we moved asap etc but they didn't even acknowledge getting it at the council. I know there is possibility of buying but we wouldn't be able to afford much when it comes to what they would allow us to borrow, our savings wouldn't be in any way a decent deposit and with work/employment so volatile I just don't even want to go down that route at the minute. We'd probably get knocked back for the mortgage as I am just under 6 years debt free after problems. I've told DP what I have found out, he's a bit annoyed as we'd had hassle to begin with and called her specifically to check it was a long term tenancy before we did 3 weeks of work to the place before we moved in at a cost to us which is when she said things like 'oh you can stay as long as you like I am just pleased you have moved in' etc etc. However he's said in some parts the same as me, it's not as if the market isn't full of rental properties, some cheaper, some I really like, just none in this village at the minute. I've kept my eye on the market since we took out the tenancy so have seen prices etc, it's the dogs people object to even if they do cause no damage at all :( but I won't ever part with them unless I become desperate, I'll move in to the caravan if I have to and put the house full of stuff in storage!

Right, need to try and get this DW emptied etc as I have been so busy looking for houses (I have found some nice ones but question is if they look ok in the flesh and if they will allow my woofs :( ) back in a bit.

**Edit to add** Just found one in the village so have sent an email to see if it's still available, it's been on rightmove more than 2 weeks so might not be, they do get snapped up quickly here due to the good school
One day I might be more organised...........

    Strange Question?

Does any one shine there sink?

I can't exactly shine the sink I have at the moment (it is a weird beige plastic stone effect one and is a complete PITA to keep clean! I do shine the stainless steel one in the utility and am absurdly pleased when it is all clean and shiny - so the new kitchen sink is going to be s/steel as well!!!
I do try to make sure that everything is washed up and put away before bed, so when I come downstairs in the morning, the kitchen looks nice and tidy.......bit of an uphill struggle at the moment, as we are remodelling the kitchen and utility but I do my best ;)

  • OOOOO.... I can't remember who'd had such terrible problems with the horrible virus?? Was it called "Anti-Virus 2009" Starting as a pop-up window asking if you want to download it?

Well, thanks for the heads up!!! (((hugs)))

Yes, that was me and you are very welcome!! It was a complete pig to get rid of, so you did the right thing. The BT guy had me download a piece of free software called Malwarebytes but because the virus had imbedded itself so deeply in the machine, we had to run it in safe mode (and rename it) as the little tw*ts who wrote the virus had written code to prevent Malwarebytes and others removing it.
By the way, if any of you DO get a balloon pop up, purporting to be from Windows, check the spelling. These guys may be sh*t hot programmers but they can't spell (or proofread) for toffee - unless of course, it is deliberate - as in "but Your Honour, our clients intentionally misspelled words so the people who downloaded the program should have realised it wasn't from Windows"

Lil_Me - will keep you and yours in my thoughts! Hope that the house you've just found is still available!!!!

Emily - that's great news about the bungalow :T

Right...........hugs to those who need a hug. I'm sooo tired from the yard work this morning (who needs a gym LOL:D ). I'm off to make a cup of tea and get ready for bed.

Thanks Menolly and holly, part of me is just hoping she doesn't want this house back but I think she will. However being the tad obsessive person I am I just had a look for houses where she is to see if she's put the current one on the market for rent or to sell, I can't find it....which I find a bit strange considering how certain she was about when she was moving back and how the market is at the mo I thought she would have had it advertised by now....

DPs said if/when we move we need to check how 'warm' the house is, this ones very very cold with extreme insulation issues, the conservatory is like an ice box and has stupid doors we can't stop draughts coming through completely etc. I think he's just trying to look at the positives, I'm keeping my eye open for a bungalow as that would make life a lot easier for me, especially at the mo when I can't bend my left leg and backs not at it's best, but they tend to be expensive, there is one cheaper than here but I don't know where it is (just roughly the area) for about what we are paying now and it's a bit smaller than here rooms wise but does have an extra bedrooms but the bedrooms I think are very small, one is only 6ft2 wide, no shower so would have to see about that but I LOVE the kitchen and lack of stairs.........might have to drive over there tomorrow to have a look as I can't see from the pictures if it has a proper grassed garden or just a paved area.
One day I might be more organised...........

Lil_me.. you're not in bed... ((((hugs)))) because it is so $h!tty moving without the added stress of children who react badly.. my 2 boys went crazy for about 6 months after we moved it was awful.

I think I have figured the reason for DS3's recent 'behaviour' .. lack of the old omega capsules!.. must buy more this week!

I have got most of the stuff sorted for the party tomorrow.. apart form the pass the parcel and party bags.. terrible of me really I am SO disorganised.. though I did manage to pick up 2 reduced matching birthday cakes from tesco.

I am off to do jellies!!

:hello: back again now that OH away for his 4 weeks and have finally caught up on this week's thread

Hope all those who are ill/feeling low have a good day and are feeling much better

Lil_me - pita about the house, hope you are able to sort something

Johanne - positive vibes for the strength to deal with ex, there is only one selfish person in your house and it isn't you

Toots - great news from earlier this week about the chemo

Pigpen - hope the party goes well

Hardly been home since OH went on Wed, sister and her family just back from living in NZ and staying at parents so spending a lot of time there. Had a clothes shopping trip to Manchester yesterday with sis which was lovely if a tad expensive - think I might need to take something back, seem to have too much for the number of times I go out whether work or play.

    Short list for Sunday -
    Clean bathroom
    Empty bins
    Recycling
    Worktops/hob/sink
    Empty TD
    Present for nephew's birthday
    House insurance/gas/elec
    Draw up a work list

Best go to bed now, takes me ages to settle into a 'normal' routine when OH goes away.
Don't put it down, put it away - thanks Valli
