Morning all
Good luck for today pigpen.
Hugs lil_me. It's awful when something like that happens. Weeks after DD was born my then landlady decided to sell the house I rented. Cheeky flippin estate agents even got me to show prospective buyers around. So I used to point out all the bad bits;) If you love where you are is there no way you could think about buying it, if she puts it up for sale? Especially after the work you have put into it. Maybe it's worth thinking about.
Well I have no idea why I am up so early on a Sunday yet again. I so want a lay in but my body clock keeps saying 6.00am time to get up:rolleyes:
So I have loaded up my new 6.5 litre slow cooker.:jIt's not new really. I bought it for my x hubby three years ago with the aim of it helping him have something ready for him and the kids after he'd been at work all day. But he never used it and said it was too bigSo he gave it back to me a few weeks ago. There's enough in it for, I hope, three meals. One to eat and two to freeze.
DD has just joined me. Complete with Princess Jasmine (Aladdin) jingly slippers on her feet from her dressing up outfit. She wore them all day yesterday and I think I might go mad if I have to listen to them all day today.
Off to find whats left of yesterdays huge list. Guess I might as well make a start. Back in a bit.0 -

Lil-me - hope everything gets sorted out ok on the housing front.
Emily - that's great news about the bungalow.
Pigpen - hope your party goes well and you don't get too stressed. Have you given Triker a list of jobs?
Froddington - I've got my parents a digital photframe which I'm going to load with all different family photos for them.
Angelnikki - Hugs - that sounds like a really difficult situation.

Morning Summermoon - you sneaked in as I was typing.
We have a bit of snow here - not much though - the kids haven't looked outside so haven't realised!
I think I'm going to clean out the cupboard underneath the sink to start off with while DH is still in bed. I need to hoover through and I want to try and get some presents wrapped but I could do with the kids out of the way to do that!NST #10 Steps 7K 2/30 10K 2/12 5 a day 3/30 NSD 0/20

Good morning all
I've been up since 6.30 because the puppies started crying - they needed out.:o
Since then I've:
Loaded washing machine
Loaded coffee pot
Loaded breadmaker
Fed dogs, cats, fish and puppies
Just had breakfast and watching recorded Neighbours omnibus - I wish it hadn't switched to Channel 5.
Emily - that's great news about the bungalow, hope all goes well with it.
Lil_me - I hope you got some sleep, hun! Never having privately rented (we used to have army, then council) is there anything in your tenancy agreement that might help over the terms of the tenancy (ie Long term?) Also, re: dogs, it might help if your vet could write a reference for them. With regard to the council not acknowledging receipt of a letter, that is extreme ignorance and lack of courtesy. I would request another letter from GP, Psych, Paed or anyone else who can add a bit of weight to your cause. If you have no acknowledgement within 7 days of receipt (and I'd send it recorded) I would phone up and keep calling until they do acknowledge. My "limited" understanding is that the council would have to provide "something" for you as you have children, but that, as there are special circumstances, that would need to be taken into consideration. It might be worth having a chat with CAB. I know years ago we were in a very usuitable council flat and we even had "Shelter" involved. I think what I'm trying to say is that if you start at one point with no result, move to the next point, but don't give up! They'll get fed up of the hassle. I hope it works out for you and you end up with somewhere better than you're in at the moment (warmer and permanent). PM me any time you need a rant and take care of yourself! x
Hollyh - not the easiest place to get to then. I'd make him walk if he does it again!
Pigpen - hope the party goes really well today (as I'm sure it will, with you in charge!) and the girlies have a great time.DMP mutual support thread No: 433 - Mortgage - £54,556, Credit cards - £4012, Unsecured loan - £3,376, Other - £419

Go on then. That'd be nice.0 -
The internet is a wonderful thing. I've just printed off the instruction manual for the slow cooker. Wasn't sure on the settings and timings for it, and there's 26 receipes in it. :j
Think I shall be trying a few of them out. I love slow cookers. They really are my kind of cooking.:D0
