Mixing soda crystals with laundry powder???

I've never bothered with vanish but have recently been using half the amount of washing powder/liquid and washing soda and found everything has come up perfect. Washing powder is so expensive this is saving me loads.

I know hubby is shaking his head laughing at me but when you end up spending £20 + a month on this sort of stuff I am afraid joke is on him.
It is great for whites too. My DD's school shirts look lovely.
