Things are still slowly moving on.

Hubby has recieved the financial forms and needs to retrurn them. My solicitor was a bit slow in sending them to hiom. I do have to keep on at her to chivy her along a bit. Not sure if it's because i am on legal aid so therefore not actually paying her.

Son got his AS results last Thursday he did soooo much better than last year:
    Physics B
    Chemistry C
    Maths C
    General Studies C
    ICT D

This means he can now do his A levels this is a relief.

As more happens i will let you all know

We are all on for the house to be mine on 18th September

  • Morning

I can not believe it is september already and my house will be legally mine this month.

I have been onto my solicitor this morning as it is six weeks and one day since my decree absolute so we can therefore apply for my decree absolute, i will soon be a free woman.

Hubby has recieved the financial forms from my solicitor and tells me he has returned them, i have emailed solicitor to check this with her.

    So things are going well.

  • I've just read this whole thread while it is quiet at work. I just wanted to know how pleased I am for you that you have moved forward from this unhappy marriage. I wish you and your children all the best for the future.

You are an inspiration to a lot of women!

  • Been following this thread and its something i did 2 1/2 years ao. I had a 3 month old baby, boy aged 5 1/2 and girl 6 1/2. Just realised from reading this how lovely it is to live a free life and a life you can control. My marriage was living hell and i spent 10 years on anti depressants havent taken any since i kicked him out. Its always abit tricky with the finances ...for me i never worked before..now i need to to pay a mortage but i come home at night close the door and me and the children are chilled out. For anyone out there who is desperately pulling their hair out in frustration with their other half, if they wont change ...move out...reclaim your life and the lives of your children. It truely is worth it!

Rolo, you have a couple of very clever kids there, this has not been a breeze for you by any stretch of the imagination, but look at what you have done for them.

I sincerely believe you have not only taught them a strong life lesson of self respect but also significantly increased their life chances through the decisions you have made.

I hope all goes smoothly with the house and the absolute. x
