Ambs, thank you for sharing your experience of DVA from a child's perspective, I think it is really important for children to be heard and am only sorry that you did not have the relevant support during that very difficult time in your life.
Thankfully there is now a lot more help out there for children and young people who have lived with or are living with DVA but the level of support varies from region to region.

Hello again,
Congratulations on the latest step in your journey, Rolo. I know it's very sad when a marriage comes to an end but it was clearly the only way forward for you, and you've done fantastically well. Glad to see you looking to the future...
best wishes,

Well woke up feeling strange this morning knowing that my Decree Nisi was going to be pronounced at Court today.
Well it should have happened.
I am looking forward to a new part of my life.:j rolo-polo1965 :j0 -
You are already in a new part of your life Rolo, this journey has been a new part, with more new parts to look forward to.
I think it is natural to feel strange with each definate step forward, emotions are weird things and can be in complete contradition with themselves and with thinking and logic.
You seemed to have it sussed from early on that they are part of the ride towards what will most definately be a better future for you and your children.
Sometimes I think they are there to test us ........ if so, you have passed with distinction!

Thought it was about time I updated:
• Me and the kids have just got back from a 10 day camping trip. Weather was fantastic we all have a glowing tan and are fully relaxed
• I have signed the transfer of equity form for the house
• Hubby is getting his part signed and witnessed by a solicitor today
• We are all on for transfer to take place on 18th September
• My solicitor has written the draft for our financial closure which hubby will receive by the end of the week
So all in all things are moving on, but still slowly:j rolo-polo1965 :j0 -
Brilliant news Rolo - and how is your ex behaving towards you now? Hope he's accepted that you've moved on?Mortgage free as of 10/02/2015. Every brick and blade of grass belongs to meeeee. :j0

Thanks for the update again rolo, I often wonder how you are getting on.
You and the kids were well jammy getting such fabby weather on your jollies, it's a gamble is camping but you hit the jackpot weather wise. Nice one.
So transfer is to take place a month from today? I know it seems to be moving on slowly but there can be some positives in the wider scheme of things as it gives time to hopefully mentally and emotional adjust to each step as it happens.
