I'm glad that you're all in now. sod the possessions I say, they can always be replaced as and when. for now you might want to check out your local Freecycle as they often have bits and pieces you might need.
Well done by the way!Mortgage free as of 10/02/2015. Every brick and blade of grass belongs to meeeee. :j0 -

Thanks
I have said to the kids we wont worry about posessions cause like you say they can be replaced. I am keeping my eye on freecycle as i might fine a sofa on there to start us off.
Giving notice on the house we are renting on Monday.
Going round to the house today to fill in holes and vacume ready for decorating, also going topopto wickes to have a look at paint. The whole hose is going to be cream/magnolia with a coloured wall in each area. I am going to let the kids cgoose their own colours.
Let the fun begin!!:j rolo-polo1965 :j0 -
Arranged for locks to be changed as i am worried, but this will put my mind at rest.
I just keep thinking there is so much to do, not sure if i am going to have time to do it all before we move in, but i will try my best.:j rolo-polo1965 :j0 -
Rolo,
Your courage and determination astounds me. I was about to post about leaving my husband and stumbled across your thread. I put my 4 month old son to bed and sat down to read the entire thing.
What an amazing journey you have taken. The results from your children shows exactly how right this was for you. Just wanted to ask how your eldest daughter is getting on with her boyfriend too.
Sounds like your children are very grounded and mature. With a strong woman like you leading the pack is it any wonder?
I hope you ex has stopped harrassing you too. I do feel for him as I am sure this was hard for him but at the same time he must now accept responsibility for the break down in the marriage.
Congratulations on your new life!! xxxDebt August 2009 - £30,525.50Debt Paid February 2011

This is the start of a new life for us as they got engaged at Christmas and the pair of them started university today.
I hope you are ok and make the right decisions.:j rolo-polo1965 :j0 -
A retired care taker from work is doing some jobs for me. We ripped the kitchen cupboards out and took the floor up in the kitchen and started decorating last weekend.
On Tuesday he ripped the bathroom out and took all the tiles off the kitchen and bathroom walls.
Tomorrow he is coming to plaster the walls in the kitchen and bathroom then get the floor ready to skimm level before laying the floor tiles.
I have took a day off work tomorrow as B and Q are coming to deliver my new kitchen cupboards, bathroom suite, floor and wall tiles, tile adhesive. I also plan to paint the walls in the kids bedroom.
Hopefuly by the end of Saturday the kids bedrooms will be finished with the colours on one of the walls as they are all having 3 wals magnolia and 1 wall a colour. Then on Sunday we can start on the hall way.
So all in all things are moving well, My man will build the kitchen cupboards next week after laying the floor.
It is all rather exciting:j rolo-polo1965 :j0 -

Once it is all decorated I will take some pictures.
Spent day yesterday decorating, then got pizzas from pizza hut at 10 o'clock last night. Kids had a voucher they got from university for 50% off if you spent £40 so it cost £24 for 4 pizzas, yum yum.
Need to finish decorating bathroom, stairs and hallway and my bedroom. Ran out of white gloss for the woodwork last night so need to nip to B and Q to get some more. Will load the car up for the a trip to the tip first as its only a little bit further than b and q.
Going to get a skip for next weekend to put all the est of the rubish in from the kitchen and bathroom, broken lites, toilet etc. Its not worth doing loads of trips to the tip.:j rolo-polo1965 :j0 -
Well decorating is nearly done.
We are moving into our new house as it is a new house at the weekend.
We are all sooooo tired with all the decorating we have done.
But it will be worth it.
Once we are in i will post some pictures as i am very proud of what we have done.
