    Anyway, this is getting tiresome, your incessant complaints about a camera you haven't asked for are beginning to sound like no more than trolling.

    I have no problem with your complaints about Apple and their atrocious handling of what should have been the simple clearance of an end of line item.

    That does not mean that your continuous ifs, buts and whys about a camera that another poster has suggested is available as an alternative are in any way warranted or justified. I have offered a practical suggestion for finding facts about cameras and identified a suitable discussion forum to continue any technical comparisons. You've done the online equivalent of foot stamping.

    Goodbye.

    Hmmm. Getting back into the main topic, I want to round up where things stand at the moment with the Coolpix 5200, for my own state of mind and to maybe help others decide what to do;

    Option 1) Buy a camera from somewhere else, eg the Fuji A340 from Boots for £57.50.

    Option 2) Phone up Apple and you can get the 5600 (next model up, but plastic-type case and features allegedly not as good as the 5200) for around £100 to £115 with a free 256mb SD Card. IF you haggle hard and don't take no for an answer.

    Option 3) Wait for developments RE: Watchdog etc, but whatever happens it is unlikely we will all get a 5200 as Apple can't get the stock? Best case scenario is the 5600 for £89.95?
    Tesco Deals Vouchers : £1500 in deals used towards Florida 2010 honeymoon and £318 towards Wedding rings in Goldsmiths - Thanks to all Tesco points savers who helped me along the way! :beer:

    To persue option 2 you need to get confirmation of the agents name from Chocshake

    Never in the field of human conflict has so much banter been owed to such a little camera.

    The camera is not very good anyway.

    * Images are soft and somewhat noisy; some corner blurriness as well
    * Redeye reduction feature didn't seem to help much
    * Menu and camera settings inaccessible while camera saves photos to memory
    * Aside from white balance, no manual controls

    All those that did not get the 5200 should be happy :D

    That's one bad review. How about now showing all the good reviews which are in the majority.
