OK, can I pick your very crafty brains please.
My OH step-mothers husband (not OH dad) is 70 this year, and having a party. I can't go but the OH and kids will, so I need to make the effort and make him a card - don't really know anything about his interest or hobbies as we only see them once a year.
I thought perhaps of doing a card based on facts of 1939, but am struggling to find anything on UK websites, so I wondered if anyone has ever made a newspaper style card from scratch and was it easy to do.
Otherwise does anyone have any ideas of what I could do for a 70th male card, because I am really stumped - and although I hate to say it I may have to go out and buy one in the end. I have until the end of may to make something.

Hi Kim
The piggies are diecuts, they weren`t from Do Crafts - I downloaded Daisy and Dandelion from Do Crafts tho.

Lovely card mumhug, and your card for the ccc challenge is really gorgeous - the papers you've used really work well together, and I love the butterfly one. :T2016 is the year I am going to find time for me, and cherish the time I spend with my friends and family. It is also time to save - Aim £4,000 - So far this year - £230/£4,0000
