Good morning! Last night I made a card for one of my son's schoolfriends. Because I'm (back) into making cards again, any excuse to make a card is good - and that includes any birthdays of friends of my sons. Do any of you make them for your children's friends or do you always buy them? (I will post a pic later, just need to do some finishing touches).

Hi I know what you mean with 'any excuse' I'm sending cards for all manner of occasions that I would never have gone out and bought them for.
My son (8) always makes his own cards to give to school friends though

Super cards all of you :T

Rusty - love the pooh bear card :Tand where did you get the number from ? I've got a card to make for baby grandsons 2nd birthday in June

Hi Mary, I just googled number 2 and then saved the image. I have uploaded the one I used for you. http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v99/xxflaminscoobyxx/?action=view&current=two.jpg

If you save and print from that then it should work ok :)

When in June is he 2?

Rusty ...Harry is doing realy well he came off the drip yesterday and hopefuly back with mom today as long as he is feeding well...They found a heart murma but they have said its nothing to worry about that most babies are born with one. It just set alarms ringing becuase we lost a child at 5 months due to heart problems so that brought all that back even thought it was 27 years ago

Part 2 of the flat cleaning today ...nets and sorting more storage out and then hopefuly he and mom will be home by the weekend

Fabulous news about Harry Saveapenny, It must be really hard for you but you are staying so strong.

    qwiksave - brilliant card:T

Rusty - thanks for that. He'll be 2 June 12th. Not sure yet what to get him but the whole family are calling to see us tomorrow so I'll ask his mum if there's anything he needs/wants. Been so long since I bought stuff for little ones. The Aqua draw went down brilliantly and he plays with it every day.

Well - I did all my housework this morning so that I could spend the afternoon crafting, then my B-I-L and S-I-L came round so I couldn't do anything so I'm gutted!
    Saveapenny - yeah - he's coming home - I bet you can't wait!!
Quiksave - fabulous card - so pretty, I know she'll love it!
Rainmac - I think I might have to get more, trouble is they are so expensive and there's a total of 96 different colours! Hopefully my first order of them will come tomorrow - I can't wait to have a play. Trouble is I wont have a flesh coloured one. If I get on well with them I know I'll be ordering more tomorrow!

CT - thanks for the offer! tell you what, if you are entering the card swaps on http://craftyplace.yuku.com then when we get drawn together that's what you can make me ;) you'll have a fab time in New York, I went to Florida and NY last June but unfortunately hadn't discovered cardmaking at that point, I was so gutted when I discovered that the US is the best place to buy craft stuff from when I'd just got back from there and was none the wiser!

we are staying at the Hilton Dubai Creek as we got a good deal, it's a bit out of town I think but have heard that you can get taxi's very easily, and we dont mind walking places. We did a ton of it in New york, and its amazing what you see just strolling around. we aren't really beachy -type sunbathing people, as I burn very easily but I love the heat as it means I can be in the shade and stay warm :D so although we'll have perhaps one day just lazing by the pool (it's on the roof of the hotel, woohoo!!) we'll spend most days sightseeing and shopping. I have already been googling 'craft shops in dubai' like mad but sadly not much luck so far  anyone know of any please please tell me, my OH wont thank you though :rotfl:

rusty - love your tigger and pooh card, so cute!!

dragonllew - great chelsea card, very manly!

qwiksave - lovely card, it's very sassy in itself so sounds like it will suit Megan down to the ground ;)

saveapenny - great news that Harry's able to come home, I bet you will all be glad to get him and his mum out of the hospital finally!
