No problems. I'm going to do a card using this sketch for my sisters birthday with a black and white theme. Can anyone suggest some sites that I can get some black and white images from - thinking either a side profile of a lady of a vase of flowers, that I can use for the image in the circle, but open to using something else if I can find any.

    Thanks
2016 is the year I am going to find time for me, and cherish the time I spend with my friends and family.
It is also time to save - Aim £4,000 - So far this year - £230/£4,000

snipped CT - thanks for the offer! tell you what, if you are entering the card swaps on http://craftyplace.yuku.com then when we get drawn together that's what you can make me ;) you'll have a fab time in New York, I went to Florida and NY last June but unfortunately hadn't discovered cardmaking at that point, I was so gutted when I discovered that the US is the best place to buy craft stuff from when I'd just got back from there and was none the wiser!

we are staying at the Hilton Dubai Creek as we got a good deal, it's a bit out of town I think but have heard that you can get taxi's very easily, and we dont mind walking places. We did a ton of it in New york, and its amazing what you see just strolling around. we aren't really beachy -type sunbathing people, as I burn very easily but I love the heat as it means I can be in the shade and stay warm :D so although we'll have perhaps one day just lazing by the pool (it's on the roof of the hotel, woohoo!!) we'll spend most days sightseeing and shopping. I have already been googling 'craft shops in dubai' like mad but sadly not much luck so far  anyone know of any please please tell me, my OH wont thank you though :rotfl:

I've entered the card swap so if i am drawn with you I'll make you that one.

Have a fab time in Dubai - I am very jealous - any room for a little one in your suitcase - pretty please?:rotfl:. We went in August and it was very hot. Got up the first morning we were there, and decided to go for a walk outside - we lasted all of about 5 seconds as it was like walking into a hot hairdryer. Luckily our hotel, the Sofitel is attached to the biggest shopping centre in Dubai, so it wasn't a problem finding things to do. PM me if you want any information about where to go and what to see. Think I have a guide book here, if you would like to borrow it.:rotfl:

Awww! saveapenny, glad to hear that Harry is doing really well. Sorry to hear about your earlier experience, no wonder you've been extra worried.

Here's that card I made for my son's friend:

She's going to be 9 and is a very sassy, confident type so hope she appreciates my scrapbook inspired card. I've never used flowers before, having two boys (& a hubby) I don't get to do 'pink' very often! :D

Brillant card, can i ask how its made?
    *Are the swirls backing paper?
*What about the writting... is that by hand?
    *Andthe spotty flower?

    So many questions (sorry!)

That's OK - should have said really. ;) Thanks by the way.

The swirls are made with a wooden rubber stamp, the writing is by hand and the spotty flower was bought, I just stuck a button in the middle.

There is also a bit of glitter on the ribbon and on the buttons that can't be seen on the photo.

Kim, I bought it online last week from www.poppicrafts.co.uk - think someone on here gave us the link. It came as part of a box of 'random blooms' @ £2.49.

The swirl stamp I also bought last week (I love swirls, want to put them on everything in sight! :D) from www.stampaddicts.co.uk.

Thanks Marg, I used to do calligraphy for a job! ;)

Don't think it has a picture of individual flowers Kim, it came in a box of 'mixed blooms' which means flowers of all sizes and colours, including the spotty one - there was only one spotty one in the box of about 40.

You could spot your own - they are only ink blots.
