Those facts are fascinating ct19720 - what a brilliant idea :D

Didn't realise Tina Turner was that old!!

Thanks Panddingtondoo - I had the idea in my head yesterday, but found very little intersting information about 1939, until JailhouseBabe suggested wikipedia to me, so that is where I got the information from.
2016 is the year I am going to find time for me, and cherish the time I spend with my friends and family.
It is also time to save - Aim £4,000 - So far this year - £230/£4,000

Hello CT19720 - I think it's great! Love the 'Deco' style of writing - I haven't read all of it but am amazed at the other people who were born in 1939!and the wage difference between men & women!

My only thought would be to include him in the list of 'famous' people born that year? and maybe not have the people who died in bold? Sorry!

    Thanks Marg,

I will include him in the list of famous people born, I hadn't thought of that. I see what you mean about the bold of the people who died, i'll swap it around and have the births in bold instead.

CT I love it, what a brilliant idea for a man's card. I do agree with Marg's suggestion of perhaps highlighting the people that were born that year and not having the people that died in bold.

Thanks The Wife - I'll swap the boldness around.

CT - I think it's great. I agree, swap around the born and died so the born are bold. Glad I could help.
Rusty - love the WTP card :)
Bunbun - fab cards. I need to spend a day crafting.
The-Wife - lovely cards; the Laura Ashley is my favourite. My LA papers, ribbons and brads arrived yesterday, I can't wait to have a play with them.
mum-hug - A lovely anniversary card; romantic and elegant.
Princesspoppypop - I do like your handbag cards, I know a few friends who'd love them as well.
Rainmac - great CCC challenge card, you always have lovely papers. I know how you feel, being tempted by challenges when there's work to be done!

(I hope I haven't missed anyone out - I've had a lot of catching up to do!)

I've got a whole week away from uni now - but then it's 5 exams in 2 weeks :(
I might manage a card or 2 between now and then though ;)
some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it :)

OK i'm in work, and should be working but designing cards is so much more fun.

Can I have your honest opinions on this please. I've done it in publisher, as Saveapenny suggested (I have it on my work PC not home one) and it is for OH Step mothers husband, who we don't know that well. It is actually blue text and the cakes are colour, and plan to print it out on very smooth white card.

What do you think - won't be offended if anyone thinks it is carp. Sorry for the large picture.

That's is really brilliant, may have to nick your idea for my dad's birthday later in the year ;)

Gorgeous card as usual rainmac I really think I need some of those scalloped cards :D.

I've got some of those iced gem things from craftwork cards but can't figure out how to attach them - what do you use?

I use mini 3d foam pads, work a treat ;)

Look forward to seeing what you do. I love it when we all do the same challenge but everyone's cards look so different :D
