What a beautiful card mumhug - did you make it from a template?
Melissa you card is fab - very original, and I am wondering who I could make one like this for.
Rainmac - your card is beautiful too - and having looked on the links that someone posted a page or so back, I really want to have a go at doing stitched card, and really like the look of the christmas tree one, so will be off to get some thread at the weekend to have a go. It's never too early to plan for Christmas is it :rotfl: :rotfl:
Flourgirl - you're cards are lovely, and have provided me with a bit of inspiration for the next ones that I do.

I'm really pleased because the jag decoupage card that I made for my childminders son, went down really well when I gave it to him yesterday, and is now sitting in pride of place in the middle of their mantle piece. His mum told me that I had put her to shame because she only went out and bought him one with a 13 on it, even though it only cost her 30p, mine was so much nicer. :T It made my day.
2016 is the year I am going to find time for me, and cherish the time I spend with my friends and family.
It is also time to save - Aim £4,000 - So far this year - £230/£4,000

Thats a very beautiful card very delicate and feminine. As you know I love stitching cards, it's amazing how you can use the same template with different threads and create a new look.

IKWYM about people not appreciating your efforts. My SIL once said to me about my cards that I had made her "Isn't it a shame they end up in the bin after a couple of days" . needless to say, she only gets one made of papers and stickers now.

I know this will end up in the bin but it was as much about me trying stitching on a card as it was making a card for mother's day so don't mind too much ;)

I am going to have to give this challenge a miss. I have just tried making a circle book card...disaster! I don't have anything to cut circles out with and doing them by hand doesn't work! I only did two circles to see what it would look like and one ended up bigger than the other:confused: plus the folds seemed to be in the wrong place so I have given up. my parents are coming to stay tomorrow till Monday so don't think I will have time to attempt anything else.
I might have a go at something else after Monday just to see if I can...

I was thinking of making a circle one as it's a bit of a different shape but decided not to because I didn't think my wonky cutting would work :p Have a lovely long weekend with your m&d - will they do a spot of babysitting (not that yours are babies ;)) so you and OH get a night out???

Hi thank you for the nice comments no i didnt use a template but i certainly would have if i could have found one. Saveapenny i think they were basic grey ones they were reduced to about £1.50 in hobbycraft.

I have also done a book card for my mum but I am really not happy with it, If i post some pics do you think you lovely ladies could advise me on what needs adding

Post the pics and i'll have a look, but if it is anything like the handbag, I'm sure it is lovely.
