crazychatter - the iris-folded pig is really cute. I don't like the purple square in the middle though.
Marg - glad you had a great holiday - welcome home.

I thought the same thing, odd choice! there are some other examples there using different paper and one done with pink patterned ribbon looked lovely, so I might have a go at that.

Welcome back marg, what a shame about the airport charges, I hope it didn't put a downer on the holiday?

Welcome home Marg - look forward to seeing your challenge card - if you get around to doing one in between your washing mountain!

Just found out I need to make a 60th card for my Uncle's birthday in 2 weeks. Wasn't sure what to do, and then realised the he is heavily into barn dancing, so wanted to do something to do with that, so will be doing a wordle extract with words associated with barn dancing, but does anyone have, or know where I can get/download some paper that looks like denim, and some checkered print paper in say a red. My idea is to have the bottom half the card in denim paper, the top in checked paper, with the wordle extract in the middle and a cowboy hat that says 'Happy 60th Birthday'.

Thanks for any help and advice you can give me.
2016 is the year I am going to find time for me, and cherish the time I spend with my friends and family.

rainmac - gorgeous stitched card, looks beautiful :T

I know what you all mean about people appreciating the effort you have gone to, its nice when they understand what goes into making them!

bunbun - don't give up, try something else, we have every faith in you!! :j

mumhug - fabulous book card, I think its lovely as it is but I know what you mean when you just 'feel' like somethings missing, no matter how much others tell you it's fine!

marg - welcome home, glad to see you're back safe and sound, well apart from the cold lol, hope u feel better soon :)

I'm off to the dentist for 2 fillings tomorrow afternoon :( - obviously too many sweets and chocolates over xmas LOL :rotfl:

I'm terrified of needles and only ever had 1 filling before in my life, so luckily have convinced OH to come and hold my hand hehe, I'm such a wimp, I know other people have had to go through a lot worse dental work  I think if I ever had to have a tooth out I'd need a general anasthetic so they could keep me still :rotfl:

AND for some more exciting news, I'm off to the NEC on Sunday for the sewing and hobby crafts exhibitions!! planning to spend a fortune of course :D shhhhhhh don't tell!
