  • Rainmac that is brilliant! I can't imagine that anyone wouldn't like it?!

I'v downloaded some stitching card templates and will have a go when I can get some dmc thread. I saw some going cheap when i was visiting my mum but didn't get any, now I'm kicking myself!

Flourgirl- I want one of your cards AND an ice cream! but then, I am rather greedy! lol!

SheGrinch, love your card, really original :T

Melissa, I love the card with the drawer, would like to do one for my mum, can you just tell me though, on the instructions it says cut cardstock 4 13/16 is that 4.13 inches sqare? I know I am a bit thick! also did you say you just used the bg paper? I have some of that and am thinking of using a sheet of that too...

Rainmac, love the stitching card, looks really classy...

I have received a package today from craft superstore with my pink squeezy thing (and loads more) they had some great items in their sale if anyone is interested..especially for me, starting out, got lots of papers/borders/stamps etc... have filled my 'craft space' in the cupboard now (share the understairs cupboard with dh for his art stuff...I did have to move some of his stuff off the 'sharesy' shelf though, so he probably won't be pleased ;) right tonight I will be getting crafty...

Saveapenny - Love the mothering sundae idea!!

Thanks for all the inspiration ladies x

This isn't a card for the challenge but thought I'd share as I really liked making it as it was something new for me to do...

I used a stitching template from Papermania for the flowers and curved line down the right hand side and 2 threads of DMC embroidery thread to stitch. I cut along the curved line (not very well :o). I backed the inside of the card with a piece of brown scrapbooking paper, colour side down, and cut it to the size of the card so you can see a piece of the brown paper at the front - does that make sense? It's for the MIL, hope she likes it (probably won't but we can but try to be a good DIL ;)).

Thats a very beautiful card very delicate and feminine. As you know I love stitching cards, it's amazing how you can use the same template with different threads and create a new look.

IKWYM about people not appreciating your efforts. My SIL once said to me about my cards that I had made her "Isn't it a shame they end up in the bin after a couple of days" . needless to say, she only gets one made of papers and stickers now.

    aaaaaaaaaaargh:eek:
I am going to have to give this challenge a miss. I have just tried making a circle book card...disaster! I don't have anything to cut circles out with and doing them by hand doesn't work! I only did two circles to see what it would look like and one ended up bigger than the other:confused: plus the folds seemed to be in the wrong place so I have given up. my parents are coming to stay tomorrow till Monday so don't think I will have time to attempt anything else.
I might have a go at something else after Monday just to see if I can...
