That sucks mate and unexpected too from someone with pretty good feedback. Its a pity you never removed the funds from the paypal account as soon as they arrived.I always do this at least you would have had the money in your account.

The trouble is payapl would just make your account in arrears and if you didnt pay them back they would send a couple of big blokes round to get it back ( debt collectors )

Jaffa, not sure if this is so, they may not be able to pull it back if the money has been downloaded.

True but at least the money is in your account and not theirs.Gives you time to try and recoup the money by other means.Ive stopped using paypal for high value items its too risky and the charges are horrific.I only use it now for stuff under £20 everything else is BT or cheque.Of course you can still be ripped off by these payments too :( The thing that bugs me with paypal is they offer all this protection when really there is none its all about protecting themselves.

    Very true Nostromo.
Paypal only look after paypal .

I buy with paypal as its a lot safer for the buyer.

I dont like to use it when selling but have to.

If you withdraw the money from your paypal ac to your bank and paypal reverses the payment, then paypal just still takes the money and leaves your account in arrears. I know as this situation has happened to me.

no there is no phone in getting the phone barred just yet, after all he might have sold it on to someone else, and from his previous history on ebay you can see that he buys and sells phones alot.If I barr it, some other poor sole will have trouble.
I see your point, but if you got the phone barred and it was someone elses now then they will be having a go at your buyer giving him hassle and i think he WELL deserves it!!
