No, I dont think so. I had minus £12 or something like that for a while and if you dont balance it (ie. put in the money to make it £0 again) they will stop you using your account. This happened with me but I still cant use my account. I keep meaning to email paypal, I will one day. xStudent MoneySaving Club member 017!0 -

No, Paypal just retracts the funds from your account - even if they have been withdrawn. I have had 6 of these in the last week - really peed me off as it was the run up to Xmas and that was obviously why. The buyer can just say their account has had unauthorised use and then Paypal always finds in favour of the buyer. You can file a complaint but you have to verify this that and the other and they do not accept Recorded Delivery as proof of postage as the postcode does not show up on the RM website. I think the buyer knew this myself and this is why they bought the phone so I would personally go via the route of small claims court, a bit more hassle but then you will get more of your costs back.
Thats shocking , you learn something new everyday

Hi,
This happened to me a while back with an item i sold.
This buyer has used a stolen paypal account or credit card, and thats why paypal reversed the funds.
I also couldnt do anything via paypal as I wasnt covered. I ended up losing £80.
I hope you can sort this guy out with a small claim, he sounds like a total P**ck!
Good luck!I Hate Jobsworths!!!0 -
I just wanted to wish you luck ashy. I would not worry about his rating but yes, give him 7 days, it'll take a couple of weeks for the form to come through anyway but get things moving now, if it does get that far then he will be able to show he has paid but will still be liable for your fees as he had not claimed when you paid. Good luck and don't worry if he has your numbers, call BT and ask for their blocking service and you can block him from calling you if he is getting threatening. Same with your mobile, just reject the call and press the button not to answer. Good luck.0
