Hmm - mine is now 100% offset so I guess paid it all off in the 8 years I have had the house including 30k spent on improvements. I'm 38 now. Unfortunately I need to move somewhere bigger so it will be back to square one plus as we all know the 'compound' bit means that having a mortgage will cost me a lot of interest whereas recently all has been capitalI think....0

Hubby and I have just finished ours. I am 48 and hubby is 51, it is a lovely feeling now need to start saving to help DD on the property ladder.0

I'm 31 and my hubby is 25. I called the mortgage company yesterday to start overpaying by £80. Hope to be mortgage free by 40, a bit ambitious maybe but it's a start.Probably the most sensible thing I've ever done...Thanks to all competiton posters, This really is the best ever hobby :j0

I am 38 and have about a year left on the mortgage, if all goes to plan. We still have a good life though and manage a couple of foreign holidays each year, we just watch what we spend in other areas.

Used to be around 54 but because of the last 4 years has increased slightly to 117.0

but we started late, got married, had two kids, bought house all in space of 3 years! :eek:

I'm 19 OH is 28, we intend to pay it off in 8 years maximum and then save up for a deposit on a new house and then rent this one and then maybe get another btl! ITS MY DREAMMoney money money.
