    Just wanted to say we've (almost) had it all today:-

    - Our greatest heros: Shakespare, Churchill ...
    - Good jokes and a German Lady with a fine set of lungs
    - A (friendly-ish) fight; I think a 1st-round knockout (or submission)
    - Postman delivering letters from FSCS, groan...
    - And now this for more-than-usual quota of peps

    Yes, I did. Initiated without receiving email so, hopefully, everything now on its way. The account balance, like others have said, was dated 24th November.

    Thank you to everyone here for being so supportive and I wish all of you who are still waiting a quick result now.

    I'd finally like to give my thanks to the FSCS for their unstinting work, distribution of timely news, etc. etc................. oh no, wrong dream!!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

    You don't suppose that clicking that Initiate button gefore the email really does put us to the back of the queue does it? I have been checking once a day without success!

    Can anyone confirm or deny categorically that clicking initiate before it's sanctioned does not make things worse?

    FWIW the postman has been and no letter either!:mad:

    Nah mate, I have clicked it at LEAST once a day for the past two weeks!

    Nilrem, I've been trying the initiate button five or six times a day, and it hasn't affected me. You do get an extra disclaimer page come up before the "Initiate" page if you can get through entitled Application, so you don't actually have to press the button anyway :D

    Just had a brainwave, We have a joint accouint so though I would try logging in on the wife's details and try that, naturally same old disappointment!:mad:

    Has anyone tried speaking to FSCS to ask what is going on or is a waste of time?

    It would be nice if they told us what was happening!

    Surname begins with C and we a total of circa 24K

    mmm now 13:54 and we've just received 6 emails confirming request for transfer. BUT still no sign of the 2nd emails to inform us that we could initiate the transfer ..

    It's my first post here as I'm an ex-lurker!!

    Just wanted to report that still haven't recieved my 2nd e-mail but I've just managed to log in and initiate my claim. This has been one of the most difficult few weeks ever!!

    Might be worth trying to log in as i've noticed a few reports of other people doing this today.

    Hope everyone is put out of their misery very soon!
