Just wondering if there is a time lag between activating account and e-mail sent out. Don't suppose it makes much difference raelly but I'm an inquisitive sort.

Oddly enough my claim date on the printout says 24/11/08 and I know for a fact I couldnt claim yesterday, and I had no email yesterday. Hmmm.

Don't want to depress you further, but the o/s money went into my linked account today.

So 2nd e-mail was received and claim initiated on the 19th, payout on the 25th.

Like other posters I've left a smallish bond to run to maturity, hope that was a sensible thing to do.

I'm taking it all out. I've managed to secure a 6% fixed Halifax GSR so the small loss of interest on my fixed terms is going to be negligible, they all mature next year anyway, apart from the 7.01% which matures in 2010 but then that's only £20 before tax on the 2000 I got in it. Rather have it now and put closure on this whole thing.

I think I've read other posts somewhere on MSE saying same thing, but then later on you can't log back in, maybe an overnight thing after the transfer is processed?

Mine thru today, as well. Have iniated the claim, so will just have to wait for funds.
Best of luck to anyone still waiting, but it looks like everything is OK, it's just a matter of patience.

Having read that, I looked at my printout, and mine also says 24/11/08, e mail received here 11.42 today 25/11. Didn't try my "initiate" button yesterday.

I have tried DD's and OH's buttons, they don't work yet.

    Ahh thanks for that.

Interestingly as a side note from the ISA forum its been suggested the FSCS wont be issuing ISA Certificates till near the end of Decemeber.

Is there anything legally from stopping me from putting my ISA cash in a normal high interest savings account while I wait for the certificate or should I technically leave it in the bank where the compensation is paid?
