Off to optician later today
Maybe I'll see a (tongue in cheek ) clear difference on return0 -
No hope at all here just logged on and tried the button and it told me to bog off as usual! Now totally despondent and lost any hope of ever getting at my cash, I find this process far more frustrating than the day Icesave crashed TBH!
I know people will say 'get a life' etc but this starting to affect my health now, I can't sleep at night and I am 'off' my food because I am so distressed over this blasted claim process!
I realise that it's great for people who had their cash 2 weeks ago but I wish they had done the whole thing by post in the first place, it would have not been so frustrating.0 -
I assume its sat ready for me to pick up at home, but I cannot confirm from here. I will check later tonight and let you know if you like.
I remember my mother always saying to me when I was younger (why do we say that we can't say when we were older can we?) I used to take toys apart to see how they worked and if I couldn't put them back together I'd say 'Michael break it daddy mend it!':D0 -

The other big question which fixed rate to go for 1year at 4.8% 3 Years at 4.9% or 5 years at 5%. I'm leaning towards 4.9% for 3 years.... trying to second guess rates will be low for the next couple of years, but hoping things will improve by 5 years.
Any thoughts?
I would go for 3 years - 5 years is a hell of a long time to second-guess what interest rates will do, but most analysts seem to reckon at best we'll only be coming out of this recession early 2010, and wouldn't expect rates to rise too quickly in such a scenario! But I'm not an IFA !!!!0 -

Hi All - just seen some lucky b***ers getting the 2nd coming - nothing for me again.
I am REALLY FED UP - like all of you I guess. I feel like someone who has bought some tombola tickets and it is alway the number just next to mine that gets the prize. If I do ever win anything it is always in the tombolas where the numbers are pulled and the winner gets to chose the prize. I am always the last and gets the SAD G*T prize that no one else wants.
To make matters worse I've a cold and earache and a load of really boring work to do. Should have pulled a sickie. Might do later this week.
So much for my BLOODY HOROSCOPE.
Rant Over ( for today at least)0 -

Thanks for that. I was thinking along the 3 year route myself. Though I do note that if the account is no longered offered you can't make any more contributions to it. So I guess I'd be looking for a new ISA next April too0
