When this is over, I think we shall all have to go and lie down in a darkened room for a while.0

This is just a comment. I have been on the KE/ING thread since the beginning and this feels so much different to that. Those who had their money posted in support of those who didn't and those who didn't have their money were (and are unfortunately) free to make whatever comments they wished without flaming by others.0

just had a look at you sarcastic diatribe at #78 - excellent use of your waking hours or perhaps you were not fully conscious when you drafted it?
the reason many had accounts with icesave was because of the need to spread funds due to the low FSCS protection level - ever thought about that? i was fully aware of the passport scheme but had run out of UK registered banks, with full FSCS protection, to save with.
'unpaletable', not sure where you got that from, perhaps another moment when you were less than conscious?
my burning issue is that of unfair treatment something which you clearly endorse.0 -
Nilrem - I've just sussed out your user name!
Nothing
Let's hope that changes soon, eh!0 -
I also think it would be a lot fairer if those with fixed term accounts, who are already being treated inequitably to the rest of the account holders, should automatically be at the back of the queue, as they effectively have nothing to lose.0

Lol I never thought of that TBH nice one, :rotfl:
In actual fact it is Merlin backwards! I have the name in another forum (not connected with money) and just decided to use it in reverse, it's as simple as that really, it's a bid daft really but too late to change now, if I do I would have to start as a newbie again! :eek:0 -

Hi Hellyboo and welcome. I was also on the Kaupthing thread, but got my dosh the first friday. I know, the support there was amazing, amusing and witty. I still pop in from time to time to read some friendly postings. I cannot believe that fiasco is still going on. Unbelievable.
To be fair, the majority of people who post saying they have received their 2nd emails are doing so just to reassure us that it will eventually happen for us. There are a few though who are so smug in their attitude, it's untrue - "the process is as smooth as silk"; "I have my compensation safely in my nominared account ..."; "you ought to be grateful". While we are still here not having any idea when we are going to receive the email.
Let's make a concerted effort to all be supportive to one another, eh!0 -

do you work for the FSCS PR department?
this is exactly the kind of quality i would expect them to produce
Haha, no chap i don't.
I do like the way you didn't take anything on board i had to say though. Was that the best you could come up with?in_the_cold wrote: »if i had been reimbursed already, i would not be singing the praises of the FSCS
Nice and grateful then.... Yea, i hate the FSCS, damn them for giving me my money back, damn them to hell :rotfl:in_the_cold wrote: »albeit in a highly unprofessional manner, and that the whole matter was handled disasterously
You've lost me on this bit. What exactly has gone wrong with the process?in_the_cold wrote: »i would not be spending my day on forums insulting and misleading those with outstanding claims
As i said in my first post, i'm a long time lurker. I thought i'd jump on and let people know that the claims were going through, it will happen in the end.0 -
