I don't dispute that at all.Let us just not take the mickey out of dhl.
Why, might we hurt their feelings? I think this raises an important point to Dan. DHL aren't very good in a lot of cases. The annoyed me so much in with my last order I'm not sure I will actually be ordering anything from Dan again as it's not worth the hassle of trying to get my parcel back from the neighbours
For those who they claim they put a note through the door - I don't know if this is the same for DHL, but City Link get the driver to note the colour of the door to make sure they actually attempted to deliver it! I recently caught them out when they said they attempted to deliver to a house with a white door! (mine is blue).0 -
The only thing anyone can do is to complain to DHL if the service provided is bad.If Dan changed couriers to another company and the service was bad does he change it again? and what if the service is bad again?
There are many people happy with the service provided and some who are not.
Raksha made some important points here "Many home delivery drivers are under a lot of pressure to do a certain number of drops per day, so some less customer service driven drivers will do 'unknown address' etc. - but they probably won't have their jobs for very long - the companies keeps stats on those sorts of things as well as number of drops, and anything out of the norm is noticed".0 -
All couriers have there bad drivers, round here DHL is excellent so are HDN.
If they change courier company you would still get complaints0 -
there is allways going to be good things and bad things about any company..
with us expressing our personal experience with dhl then Dan can weigh up the % of complaints, and loss revenue etc..
dont forget Dan is growing big time so he needs a courier who can actually take the quanity from his warehouse etc..
i have had a bad experience sith DHL due to boxes going missing etc, and then when they did arrive back at af half the stuff was missing
anyway i wouldnt call the negative things being said as slating etc its called constructive feedback...
so if anyone has a bad excperience with dhl carry on and post it...and also the good things tooWork to live= not live to work0 -
I wasn't going to bring this up but because of the obvious interest in this subject, I will. My last AF box was collected from AF on 30th December and delivered 2nd January. When it came it was at least 10kg light as I order to maximum weight. Missing was a pack of cereal, a case of Hibs and 4 cartons of fruit juice. The box was sealed with 'resealed by DHL' tape.
When DHL has to reseal a box Dan is charged for it. When he checked, he hadn't been charged for it.
Dan put the order right by refunding me – he truly is faultless.
Maybe someone took the mickey out of me.0 -
DHL are one of the better couriers in my area, far better than certain others. But to be honest no matter which courier is used there will always be horror stories.Waddle you do eh?0

Our DHL driver is fine, but I dread to think what they do with the stuff in their warehouse! Fortunately, Dan packs his stuff well. We have stationery delivered at work with boot marks on it, cracked CD cases, screwed up printer paper etc etc0

It will be DHL that causes me to think twice before ordering again,as I agree my blood pressure cannotstand the aggravation. I made a formal complaint, but whether anything will come of it I have my doubts. The box was not sealed properly either,so whether that was DHL I am not sure.
Could there not be a large box on the order form for additional info re address or being left with neighbours etc.0
