i am just hoping that all these orders are not going to affect Dan's business in a negative way

meaning.... that as he works on such small margins of profit per item and with the sudden surge of loads of orders, which he has had to take on extra staff etc to pick and pack the orders etc.. that it is actually worth it by the time he has paid wages etc...

i have my own business and at the moment i am very busy.. and desperately need to take another person on, but i am in limbo land at mo.. as i have too much work to cope with, but cant afford to pay someone a proper wage (a decent liveable wage) so need to go chasing more work, which then if we get the work, we will still have more work coming in than we could cope with..

    sorry for waffling off topic..

i just want people to realise its not easy owning your own business and even if orders go through the roof, you just cant suddenly make it all work.. so please give DAN and his team time and be patient... its not as though you rely on Dan for your full weekly shopping..for us its a treat and also like christmas..lol...( i know i'm sad) when that big box of goodies turn up of chocolate..crisps..... etc... that in all honesty we would never buy from the supermarket.. as the prices/budget just doesnt warrent it..

Dan prob doesnt know his ar*se from his elbow right now...and as mse'rs who like to stick our 2 fingers up to the big commercial big boys for ripping us off for so long... should be giving Dan all the support we can as an independant business, and that also includes listening and being patient...

it will all come right in the end. and DAN will eventually have a good night sleep instead of working around the clock to try and please everyone with getting their orders out...

I for one.... can appreciate what he is going through right now... and dont mind waiting for orders to be processed..

oooooo hack... better stop now this post is getting a bit long...lol.... and its bakin boy time....:D

edit.... and also amongst all the mayhem he is also trying to source more goodies for us..

This post was to be to let you know about the 12 day backlog but andi2 beat me to it!
I also wanted to beg you for your patience and understanding but cooltrikerchick beat me to that too!!

Following all the national exposure, things went crazy but are starting to slow down. I've had to turn down TV appearances, not only because I don't have the time to do them but also because I just don't want any more publicity for the moment.

The good news is that the new staff are great and working hard. And all the publicity has generated contacts with new suppliers so we'll soon be able to offer a whole new range of bargain products.

However, for the moment, our priority is to deal with all these orders as quickly as possible - and I promise we will.

One thing I'm not comfortable with is that I just don't have time to answer all the emails (an incredible number every day) and PM's I get, but I'm looking for someone to help me out with this.
Thanks in advance for your understanding.

    Cheers

Dan, as always you take the time and trouble to keep us up-dated on what's going on and it is much appreciated.

People shouldn't mind the wait as long as we know about it in advance which we always do because of you constantly keeping in touch. I like the honesty of the statement on the site too....much better that than people ordering and wondering why they haven't received their delivery.

Here's hoping 2009 is a bigger and better year for you and your company, and from us money savers a big 2 finger salute to all the fat cat, big boy, rip off merchants.:rotfl:
You'll make my day if I know I've been helpful to you in some small way,
so please press my :T thanks :Tbutton x

Thanks for keeping us posted! I hope everything gets sorted soon and you poor boys can clear the backlog! I'm impatient for my order (still waiting from the 10th here!), but that doesn't mean I'm moaning or dissatisfied with the service. You guys are excellent!!
