Dan said he'd ship my order yesterday, but I've not yet received an email. I'm kinda hoping it just turns up at this point...I have a feeling they don't always have time to update the system?

I saw a video he had done that said they were seconds. Maybe that is why they have no date. And they taste good- if they were going off you could tell. I have frozen some of mine, as I seemed to have a lot- though now suddenly not so many:p . We need to ignore the bb date to get on with shopping this way...

Sorry, no dates on mine either. I got 2 boxes, one had normal packaging with most cakes upside down, the other just has clear wrappers with no branding at all, but I assume they are the same. They are in a plain cardboard box with no dates.

Of course the kids haven't noticed any of this, they are too busy scoffing them!

OK I won't take the mickey out of DHL, they manage that all by themselves. The latest update on my delivery is the delivery driver left a card yesterday, but our address doesn't seem to exist so they're not sure where he left the card  I was asked, twice, if I'm sure of the postcode and it must be a new build as the local depot can't find the house on their maps. We live on a farm that has been here for over a hundred years and the house itself is 60+ years old

They will be attempting delivery again on Tuesday apparently, if the food wasn't out of date when it was sent then it sure as hell will be by the time I get it

I'm sorry Dan but as long as the deliveries are only done by DHL then I'm not sure my blood pressure can cope if I order again :(
just rang DHL and my parcel was sat in the warehouse, they finally admitted the relief driver who was on our route last week "couldn't be bothered to find the house" but the manager is bringing it out at lunchtime :j

I'd already put a second order in to Dan so we'll see if this chaos was a one off

I appreciate the bb date is just a best before date but hey lol I'm getting there, I have had 2 orders from Dan & have been pleased with both, i still can't quite bring myself to eat stuff past its best though, probably because I was brought up on the stuff. Give me time lol I might get over my ick factor soon enough. I used to throw things away if they were on their date lol now I will actually use them on that day. It doesn't bother hubby or the children though.

lol glad it's not just me. I would love to be a "hey it doesn't matter" kind of girl but I can't just go from 1 extreme to the other. I had a drink the other day that was 2 days out of date :rotfl: before I would never have touched it.
