Really cheap food...however

I have just come across this thread - looks fab and I'm going to the site to have a butchers now. Would someone be kind enough to confirm that I have got this right - is the food past the Best Before date, but is still fine to eat? Is all food on there past the Best Before date, or are some still in date?

Bit of a mix - some is out of date (best before), some is not. It's all safe to eat. They have an obligation to only provide food that is technically safe.

I had this idea that January would be steady... So much for that anyway.

I thought i better tell you what i was up to at the moment as i wasn't posting much.
After all the press coverage we had there was a really big leap in trade but now its steadying down. The best bit that has come from the media coverage is the new suppliers that have emerged, there are really going to be belting clearance line coming up:eek:.

The biggest change has been setting on new staff and the teething problems handling more orders. It wont take us long to get sorted.

Some stuff is 'slight seconds'- for instance cakes that were put in the wrapper upside down.

had a chat with dan yesterday, i can vouch for all the commemnts on here that he is a top bloke;) he is working so hard i think he deserves a holiday!
Please give him a break! he has experienced an unprecedented growth in his customer numbers and he is taking his time to get things sorted out properly rather than making false promises which i think some less reputable person may have done in his suituation.
I know enough about running a business/ setting one up to know that you can suffer just as much from TOO much business as not enough!
be patient cos i am sure he will have some lovely new stock, and teething problems sorted, and we will be able to say 'ooh i was one of his customers at the start'

I have just put in my first order - have never seen OH so excited at a food shop before lol. Going to be living off tuna and savoury rice for a while!

I'm trying, I really am but I'm going to be running low on bakin boys pretty soon and then I don't know what I will do! :eek:
