Why would i say something i don't believe in Dickfoot.Read all my posts newbie before you come to any conclusions.Codes of mse state you have to be nice to all money savers calling me wind up merchant ("fool") is not cool.
I don't think you were being called a "fool", but were being asked if you were intentionally "playing the fool" by trying to wind people up with ridiculous comments.
That's how I read it anyway.
Were you using 'newbie' as a derogatory term? How come newbies seems to be the only complaining?
Porky aren't you the one who came up with the quirky idea Dan employ someone to read this board to make his business more efficient?
What is it that determines a 'newbie', the 'join date' and/or the number of posts made by the user name?
Do you think that a status of 'newbie' means the persons feelings are unreal and that their opinions are less valid than those of someone that has been given the status of 'convert'?
Perhaps it would be even 'nicer' if everyone kept to the subject of the thread rather than picking on the personalities and those that consider themselves to be either more 'expert', more experienced or more knowledgeable than other posters applied a bit of humility and good manners.

Defiantly agree with your sentiments, but its the internet, you can't just get up and punch someone being rude to you, and they know that, so ofc things get a little heated at times, and misunderstandings turn to name calling.
It often fizzles out, so wouldn't worry too much.0 -
i placed an order as soon as the soups etc went on the website and overnight have just received a £4.40 refund out of a total order of about £10.00 so I wouldn't be hopeful of getting any soup etc0

Don't know whether Dan will want to smack me in the mouth for this, but anyway:
I spoke to him again this morning simply because I had been given a refund but didn't know for what items because they weren't listed. I just wanted to put in options if possible. It wasn't for a great amount, just over 6 quid.
Now, I think he's had a few problems monitoring the night-crew and also with them not putting what customers have been refunded for, which is where the problems have arisen on the refund tickets.
Also bear in mind that he is giving some customers refunds for postage (which must have chewed up and spat out his profits) as a sign of continued goodwill and service, and it may be that some of you have had postage refunds and aren't losing out on many products because as he said earlier he has marked them as 'out of stock' on the site simply to slow up orders and let him catch up.
But if you are worried and do have some alternatives in mind it might be worthwhile just letting him know.
In summary, just because it says 'out of stock' on the site, doesn't necessarily mean they aren't in your order, and your refund may, to a large extent, be due to postage refunds.;)0 -
hmmm
well perhaps i got refunded all my postage then of £10? and then £5 worth of stock?0 -

Could be. I'd got half my £10.50 postage refunded but it didn't state that on the refund ticket.
I don't know if once the refunds have been issued they can be amended again if you put in replacement items - my fault, I should have asked him but was ready to dash out to an appointment - but if you could do this, then he isn't losing out on the business and you aren't losing out on the products.
A quiet word in Dan's favour here. I know it's really frustrating for everybody who hasn't got their order yet, mine is slightly delayed but not enough to get me hopping - but he really is trying to sort this out both for now and, more importantly, for the future.
If you are really worried (I'm thinking of Catt mainly!) try phoning him again just to sort things out.
At the moment I think it is purely a matter of logistics - there are 24 hours in a day, 7 days in a week and he is just struggling to fit it all in.
I'm sure, in the end, the result will be happy customers!0 -
