Well I was more than happy with my first order, but I would collect rather that pay postage, I realise Dan does purchase on a tight level, I saved a fortune on the bottles of diet coke, The dog food is brilliant my dog is so fussy too, it will take him a while to get through it, hes a labrador and I bet it will save me £50 on other foods

As I noted in my previous post items with zero stock come up with an error message saying out of stock. This is really great news as it means that no matter how many people order, you won't get the situation before where people were ordering things that had already gone out of stock, so items needed refunding or replacement. (I presume you automated it - if it had to be updated manually I pity the employee who would have to update the site for every item :) )

This means when I next order I wont have to worry about if hundreds of others have already done the same so if I'm way down the queue I won't get them, and the order delayed because AF has to sort it out.
The fact that all items at the moment appear as “temporarily unavailable” is not because we don’t have the stock, but it was the only way I could put a stop to people making orders this weekend. Normal service will resumed as soon as possible, hopefully during this coming week.

Finally I must apologise for any inconvenience caused by our inability to cope with the increased demand and once again thank you for your support and encouragement.

    Cheers,

    Dan
I'd better start making my list now then! hope I beat the rush and get some of the veggie friendly soups if those are some of the items you referred to.

Unless you make it known on this forum when you are going to make those items available again, you can expect a lot of bargain mad customers refreshing your website a lot to look for a message that normal service has resumed, so hope your servers can handle it!

Apology accepted, must have been hell, you will deserve a rest when things are back to normal. :D

I agree! I have been reading the forums for a long time but only just registered, a lot more people read regularly than post regularly, it's the same with any forums! :rotfl: Now that Dan has posted to clear a few things up hopefully everyone will calm down a bit! I will give it to Friday for my first order, that will have been 3 weeks, I honestly can't see how it could take longer than that. :cheesy:

If you want good customer service shop in waitrose. They provide the best service in retail.

I think you are desperate for the goods. If you are not happy Phone Dan and cancel your order.

I don't think as I have said previously Dan can read all the posts here since he is busy so sellercheckuk your suggestions or criticism serve no purpose.

I am afraid Dan does not need to improve his customer satisfaction there are thousands of happy customers already who have ordered more than once. One or two disappointed customers won't make a difference to the already successful business.

May I suggest your vent disappointment in the vent board.By the way why do you have only 8 posts and have been a member since 2005?

Are you the resident wind up merchant ("fool") or are you serious and really believe all of that?

Why is eveyone bickering  this was such a lovely thread, i think Dan sounds great and he is trying his best, to get people orders out to everyone, i dont think Dan likes all these orders being delayed etc, he just been caught out with all the publicity and trying is best to get new practices in place so he can run is buisness better, his orders went from a couple of hundred a week, to thousands any business would need time to restructure, thats why i havent placed an order, i am quite happy to wait untill the dust as settled
