This happened to me sometime last year. I had ordered some books online, delivery company delivered them to the property next door. I tried for a week to get them back, knocking on their door many times a day but to no success. I know someone was in there as the curtains were shut at night, then open again in the day. It then took another week of phonecalls an emails to the company i had ordered from to get them to send out another parcel to me. I wasn't charged for the replacement books but it took two weeks of hassle and my neighbours next door got a parcel of free books !!!

Maybe there should be an option at checkout to attatch a message, then we can specify whether we are happy or not for our parcels to be left with neighbours?? just a thought !!

    I have the opposite problem!

I emailed the company and asked for the neighbours house numbers to be put on the parcel. Got home to a card from DHL:rolleyes: rang DHL and had them confirm that delivery would go to eithe rof those numbers....got home to a card from DHL.....rang them to say deliver on friday to my home address as you cant manage to follow instructions:rolleyes: got home today to find card from DHL saying 3rd and final attempt:mad:  Rang them tomake a formal complaint, and have been assured that it will be delivered tomorrow,so we will see.......

Watching BBC Breakfast news, and they just mentioned how to be safe when buying food past its best before date.

They are going to have a piece on it in a bit. Could be another big moment for dan???

They mentioned 'a company in Sheffield' so I'm sure it's Dan but just hope they don't say any more because he's swamped as it is.

  • DHL have done their usual trick and "mislaid" my parcel  Just waiting for them to ring back to let me know if they've found it and IF they will be delivering sometime this century  . It's always the same with them, just because we live on a farm the drivers never seem able to find the address, or just can't be bothered?
