The only downside was DHL who practically forced the parcel onto my neighbours because we were out. It annoys me when they do that, how can then guarantee that person is going to give it back to me? Surely they should only deliver to the address it is marked for!
The reason they do that is because the drivers are all self employed, and get paid per drop. It will cost that individual diesel to come back. I'm not saying they're right to drop it off somewhere else.
  • first order arrived today and is great. I got an email to say it was delivered to my neighbour which is good!

The only down-side is that when I was emailed saying a couple of items were out of stock I would have liked the option to add more to the order to make the most of the weight restrictions.

Got my order last night. Thanks Dan.

This happened to me sometime last year. I had ordered some books online, delivery company delivered them to the property next door. I tried for a week to get them back, knocking on their door many times a day but to no success. I know someone was in there as the curtains were shut at night, then open again in the day. It then took another week of phonecalls an emails to the company i had ordered from to get them to send out another parcel to me. I wasn't charged for the replacement books but it took two weeks of hassle and my neighbours next door got a parcel of free books !!!

Maybe there should be an option at checkout to attatch a message, then we can specify whether we are happy or not for our parcels to be left with neighbours?? just a thought !!

I once ordered books from a well known book club. The courier threw them over my side gate, and my dogs ate them all as they were in their pen.I refused to pay for them as it was their stupid fault putting them there in the first place:rolleyes:

mine arrived today having ordered on Sunday. Great service. 3 huges boxes but 20 tins of kidney beans out of stock so have asked for shipping to be reviewed as charged £15 and total weight on my scales was 50kg. Will see how long a response takes.

Even my sceptic husband has decided to agree that it is a good company - after first telling me when I ordered it that he would throw it all in the bin as it was skanky!

I placed an order yesterday evening - payday !!! (sorry I must have missed the post saying to wait until next week)

I have just done a price comparison (sad I know) with the nearest items I could find.

Dans items £50.51 plus £10.50 delivery
Mr T items £110.94 without delivery

DAN - I really hope you can cope with the additional orders, it would be horrendous to become a victim of your own success. Fingers crossed for you.

TWISE - thanks for the original post
