I've had a look at todays threads but can see nothing to suggest anyone has received a second email today. I hope this is wrong and that there are some lucky people out there. Perhaps receipt of second email is old news.

I don't want to be critical of FSCS as by and large I think they're doing a good job but cannot understand why its taking so long to process our claims. Cannot understand the need for phasing. When you think of the thousands who must log on to the major banks websites in any given day and their systems don't seem to crash.

Still, no good gnashing my teeth. Must be patient.
Just got my second email at 14:54 today so they are still coming through

If you dont need the interest until the end of the term I would have thought it was a no-brainer!

sheilanick - Interest rates are dropping like a stone. If you're sure don't need that money for another two and a half years you'll get a far better return by leaving the money where it is to mature. These Icesave refunds, welcome though they are, have mostly come just too late for any of us to lock into any alternative good fixed term rates.
  • Thanks to all you lucky people who got your second Emails and money in the Bank. for keeping my hopes alive, as one day I will also get the second email and my money ...

Not commented on the IceSave situation before but have been following these threads thoroughly over the past month and a bit. I was one of the lucky ones who got their second email last week (Wed 12th), claim initiated immediately and money in my HSBC account on Monday morning.

I was able to claim for all of the accounts I had access to - 2 easy access and an ISA. One of the easy access accounts was, strictly speaking, my wife's - she opened the account but added me on at a later date. I thought this made her the primary account holder and that she'd have to claim for that one but I was able to initiate (and receive) it fine.

Hope everyone else gets access to their money soon.

Much more fun than reading about peeps who have
    1. If they are lucky - their 2nd email
    2. If they are very lucky - their money

My DD has both - I am NOT HAPPY
