Excellent 10_66! I remember you from KE/ING threads. It's great here, innit ... not!
Thanks for your kind thoughts for us poor (literally) unfortunates!
Under the circumstances, I think the FSCS have handled things a lot better than KE/ING did! I'm still keeping an eye on that thread too!0 -

When I spoke to some at FSCS today, they said that emails would be sent out over the weekend. He had to check first thought, so don't know how accurate the information was.0 -

I just received my second email, logged in, and found - as expected - that my "nominated account" to send the funds to is a closed Co-op account.....
The Co-op call centre tell me that if I send the money to them it will get bounced back to Icesave automatically. Is this really true? Will Co-op really bounce back money to a collapsed bank?
If the bank account has been closed Co-op will have no choice but to bounce the BACS transfer back to the initiating bank. The bank can notify the initiator of the new bank details if they know them.
If the account is closed you do not want to attempt the BACS transfer - opt for the paper claim route - it will save four days for the BACS transfer to be attempted and failed followed by the time it takes the group who handles the failed transfers - there will be quite a few, probably not getting very high priority.0 -
Thank the IT staff (at Newcastle Building Society or their IT supplier?) they have done the work.
I wouldn't thank them when their complacent use of mass email spam house https://www.hearfrom.com resulted in 50% of the initial emails not reaching people because they were classed as spam. Also I wouldn't thank this motley crew who previously claimed if you opened several different accounts with Icesave then each one was protected up to £35,000.
Also why thank this bunch of cowboys who have kept some investors waiting a month longer than others for their money but with no compensating interest during the extra month they are kept waiting. Not to mention that no one in the "Instant Accesss" (haha) Icesave account has had any interest since Oct 7th while the staff at Nationwide Building Society have all been getting paid their full salaries.:mad:0 -
Oh by the way I got the second email at 6pm last night but predictably the incompetents on the FSCS compensation line couldn't tell me from what bank they were going to be paying the money across or why the transaction was not happening under the same day Fastpay BACS system given that Barclays (where Icesave paid their funds from and to depositors) and Natwest (where I have my bank account) both use the Fastpay system.0

Why do you do that. Some natural form of servileness in your nature perhaps.
If the FSCS were any good we could have all had our money back by the end of October and on the same date and been paid interest between October 7th and that date.0 -

First email ! 2nd email ! I even got a third email (see below)
We have received your instructions for your account.
If you have more than one Icesave account for which you wish to be paid compensation using the FSCS depositor compensation payment process, please repeat the process for each account.
Your compensation will be paid into your nominated account by an electronic transfer. This will take about five working days.
If your account was a fixed rate savings account and you have chosen to keep it until maturity FSCS will send you an application form to complete and return.
FSCS is pleased to have been able to help you.
Thank you.

The only thing I haven't received as yet is any money, but I have one of my 5 working days still to go. Fingers crossed. I realise that for anyone who has not got this far it is no concelation, but we all live in hope. Good luck to you all.Age & Treachery Will Always Overcome Youth & Enthusiasm !!
