You're a bit too servile for my liking. They're only doing what they agreed to do.Age & Treachery Will Always Overcome Youth & Enthusiasm !!

Well, why not set-up rules instead? To dump these promotional emails out to a separate folder, then set-up a new rule for @fscs.org.uk to ensure it's moved to the in-box (rather than a spam folder), and perhaps coloured red, also add "Stop processing more rules" to this rule, in case a spam rule later on wants to grab it and move it again.
Unfortunately the third email confirming that your compensation payment is now to be made comes from the email address "FSCS@SAVINGS.ICESAVE.CO.UK" so you also need to whitelist this email address too.
Once again Newcastle Building Society fails to do things either consistently or rationally.:mad:0 -

Not sure that anything at the moment from Icesave should be classed as whitelist, or as us non techies know it as spam. We need all the info that we can get at the moment, but then perhaps you know something that us lesser mortals don't.Age & Treachery Will Always Overcome Youth & Enthusiasm !!

NonGeographicalMan wrote: »I wouldn't thank them when their complacent use of mass email spam house www.hearfrom.com resulted in 50% of the initial emails not reaching people because they were classed as spam. Also I wouldn't thank this motley crew who previously claimed if you opened several different accounts with Icesave then each one was protected up to £35,000.
Also why thank this bunch of cowboys who have kept some investors waiting a month longer than others for their money but with no compensating interest during the extra month they are kept waiting. Not to mention that no one in the "Instant Accesss" (haha) Icesave account has had any interest since Oct 7th while the staff at Nationwide Building Society have all been getting paid their full salaries.
I know I shouldnt bite at your persistent trolling, however
IceSave used the newcastle.co.uk mail system to send their emails. Presumably someone (FSCS?) decided to use hearfrom.com.
Newcastle Building Society IT (Information Technology = Computer Department) have never, to my knowledge, claimed that the first £35,000 of each account account was protected. The IceSave call centre may have done. This is located in Wallsend so I assume it was shared with Newcastle Building Society but I wouldnt like to guess who actually operated it. I work in IT (not Newcastle Building Society!) and I know that this is nothing with the call centre!
The FSCS rules quite clearly state that interest is paid up to the date of default and that fixed term deposits have the choice of "have the money now" or wait till the maturity date. Unfare - yes it is - is N/C BS responsible for this - dont be stupid.
And if you are employed presumably you have been paid your full salary during this period.
FSCS has up to three months to refund the money (and longer if there are special grounds) - they set up a deal that was much better than that.
The Government could have chosen to ensure that "no IceSave depositors will lose any money" as the Chancellor stated but they have not. That is unfair, they have been economical with the truth - blame the political masters not the people who implement the decisions.
No amount of complaining will get the Civil Service policy people and the Chancellor to change their minds now - I have have seen the way they work - logic and fairness are at the bottom of the pile.0 -

Funny that I am experiencing exactly the same problem, but you obviously know everything so we must all be wrong!Age & Treachery Will Always Overcome Youth & Enthusiasm !!

You are quite clearly a troublesome troll yourself who cannot possibly actually be working in the IT department at Newcastle Building Society. Below is an Icesave email of 19th January 2007 sent by hearfrom on their behalf as were all of Icesave's emails.
Highford Solutions Ltd is the actual marketing company behind its hearfrom mass spam emailing brand.(see www.hearfrom.com and www.highford.com) and you will note that both names are clearly shown in the email header.

Surely my comment that the system is temporarily not working covered that point. As we know IT staff do tend to go home at night....................0
