I - W - got my 2nd email at 5 pm - with one fixed rate and one easy access - WAY OVER THE LIMIT - but who asked in 2006 - and (fingers crossed) a quarter of a million is now winging its way back into my designated account.

Bless the FSCS - and all who have --- AND ESPECIALLY STILL ARE --- EXHIBITING PATIENCE AND GRACE.

The morning Icesave went down you must have been having kittens...

2nd email came at 5.03 - went onto site and it kept telling me my password was wrong - however reset it etc and all done and dusted by 5.20. Just to keep an eye on my bank account now.
All fairly painless really.

Yeah! Just got my 2nd email, 5.11pm. Just initiated transfer. Thank God I've now got rid of Icesave and KE. I just hope I don't have to go through any of this again!! Good luck to all still waiting for theirs, I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you all that it's sooner than later!

Egad! I only had a few £K in there, and felt a bit panicky when I first heard the news. £250K, and I'd have either turned inside out on the spot, or laughed maniacally until they came and took me away. ;-)

My 2nd email came through 30 mins ago, and my claim has now been initiated.

I just received my second email, logged in, and found - as expected - that my "nominated account" to send the funds to is a closed Co-op account.....

The Co-op call centre tell me that if I send the money to them it will get bounced back to Icesave automatically. Is this really true? Will Co-op really bounce back money to a collapsed bank?

I'd really rather not have to wait until the postal system if at all possible, especially as it's an ISA, and all the decent rates for new accounts are disappearing fast....

I was reading this thread earlier today and was starting to think the 2nd email was never coming for me!! Received 2nd email at 16:36 today. Logged into the ICESave site and went through the claim process for my ISA and instant access savings account ok. Not sure if there is any order in sending out the 2nd email, but for info I received the first email on 07-Nov at 07:44.

Hope everyone else's comes soon and this will be sorted once and for all!!

Hurray..... :beer::beer::beer::beer:I got the second email today at 16:39. Everything went smooth. I was able to suck my £10k out safely.:j:j:j

For people who are after the FCSC Random Process: My first name starts from F and ends with D. My surname starts from I and ends with M. My email address has domain AC.UK. It is for one of the universities in London, UK. ;);)

It is a very simple process. Some things everyone shud know:

1. Make sure you print out the confirmation page to feel more secure.
2. The new ICESAVE-FCSC www ask how much money you want back. Make sure you dont put less :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
2. After compensation, you log out... YOU WONT BE ABLE TO LOG BACK IN. :eek::eek:

It is a great feeling to have your hard earning back. I remember exactly at this time last month... we were talking about Darling, the poor Icelandic PM, brown our MPs, nuking iceland, cod war bla bla bla. But it is the FCSC who helped us out.

3. And dont forget to drop lines of appreciation for FCSC ppl. I really admire them.
