Still no 2nd email here either.

Just thought I'd add some info gleaned from the Moneysupermarket Icesave thread:

Someone had spoken to the FSCS and they were told that emails were being sent in batches of 10,000 per day. She was also told that, although the FSCS site says the vast majority of savers will receive their compensation by the end of november, it was highly likely most people will receive theirs much sooner.

Not sure if this is the standard BS but it gave me a little more hope.

Claim initiated at 1pm on Tuesday and money in my bank account this morning - BACS took 3 days. Good luck to all - the process does work and is very smooth - just got to wait for my ISA certificate now.

Unless we both spoke to the same person, I was also told they're sending out in batches of around 10,000. Also that they're sending out over the weekend.

Great to know - mine was initiated 4pm on Wednesday so *hoping* to see it Monday with luck, or Tuesday :beer:

I guessed it would be around that, 220,000 savers, divided by about 20days = 11,000 per day, only light at the end of the tunnel is that as each day ticks by the odds improve for example on day one it was about a 1 in 20 chance of receiving one (using the above figures) by now it's around to 1 in 14 by my reckoning but my maths are a bit rusty ATM.

FWIW I have still not received a 2nd email.
I keep getting emails and my eyes light up but it's always spam.:mad:

So if you assume a few hundred went out on Sunday and Monday, then the full 10K went out over the next few days, by the end of today approx 41K account holder, out of 300K, will have had their 2nd email.

By the end of next Friday, incl weekends, that number will have risen to 111K, still leaving the majority without their 2nd email.

Seems very slow to me.

The process seems to have started on Friday or Saturday 8th - so to do the 200,000 people with Icesave accounts will take 20 days - so last batch of emails will be received by 28th November.
