Nilrem, I know - it sucks big time. It is very hard to take any positives out of all this. Perhaps one would be that before all this happened I was quite profligate with my cash. If I took a fancy to something I'd buy it. Now I am much more careful. So it has cured me of a 'buying' addiction (much to my husband's delight!).

I knew you'd all come down to my level of pessimism eventually ..only on the speed, not the result, your understand.
Although Nilrem's change in (external) mood was as dramatic as the stockmarket crash!

Me too Stormy, I didn't get my email until I emailed them on Sunday.... could be a long wait for both of us!

I am off out now to visit my mother and when I get back around 11:00pm the email had better be here or I shall phone them up and tell them I am dispensing with their services! :eek::D

I agree the service is terrible - when I get my email I'm going to withdraw all my money and close my account.

I ended up getting the second email about an hour and a half after I initiated it. I have quite a low amount in my account so perhaps they're getting the small ones out first?

Does anyone know what the interest rates on the easy access and fixed rate accounts were? The info's been taken off the site.
