First email received on Tue 04/11/2008 21:01 - not sure if that was particularly early or not.

My first email arrived was 20:21 on 4th Nov.
And I'm still waiting for the 2nd.....

I can't check my hotmail at work so lets hope it's arrived by the time I get home
  • I didn't even receive a 2nd email, but logged in a minute ago and had the option to start the process, happy days :D Guess my email's in the post.

The process is extremely quick and painless; check a box, confirm the amount in your account, bish bash bosh done in 30secs. Credit to the FSCS for making the process so easy :D

Me and you too! It's so damned frustrating reading on here of people getting their cash and we just sit and wait! It's worse than waiting for the examiner to tell you if you have passed your driving test or not!

I know people will say don't be such an impatient so and so but I am starting to think why them and not me and it's gonna get worse as the days roll by without any result!

You can't be I thought I was going to be last! :rotfl:

That will be me considering I never got the first email and had to do the "round the houses" technique by emailing the FSCS. :rotfl: Still not confident that's worked....

I am also wondering from the FSCS FAQ:

There will be an update on FSCS's website on Tuesday 11 November giving guidance to people who have not yet received their first email.

When thats going to appear? :)

I have a nasty suspicion that those who received the email on tuesday last week will get the go-ahead this week; those on wednesday the following week; thursday the week after that and so on. I got mine last friday.

The only thing keeping me from going mad (I've also been through this with Kaupthing, though I got my money within a week) is that I have already tied up in fixed accounts what I want to, but it's still REALLY annoying.

No 2nd email yet...... received first on 4 Nov at 22.31.

Just logged in to try to initiate like randomnut did successfully, but I didn't have the option.

I am not sure about that TBH after all it is not a problem sending out 200k emails it's the amount of people that will have to log on that might cause a bottleneck.

I reckon that I am losing around £16 a day whilst it is in limbo and I can't open any new fixed accounts until I get the cash, by the time it arrives all the best rates will have gone, the 1.5% interest cut has come at the wrong time for many of us, it's a double whammy!
