Just a point - when I looked at the wording on the website it implied that you only have to wait for the second email if you wanted to go down the compensation route. The last paragrapgh says that if you have a fixed rate bond and are willing to wait to maturity you should log in and make that election.
However, as the lady from the FCS agreed with me, this is misleading because you do, in fact, still have to wait for the second email. Logging in without it seems to block your account and you need to be given a new password (half of it by phone and the rest by email). Hopefully they will change the wording to avoid this confusion - unless of course they already have.0 -
That is not entirely true, he did buy the straws but not the scissors, he already had a pair of official FSCS scissors back in the office!:D They are a bit short of cash at the moment.:D
Nice one Nilrem. I think we should head off to "The Arms" before "the serious ones" suggest this course of action. I'll just get me coat ..........In memory of Chris Hyde #8670 -

Well I don't think that lady knows much TBH, many people here have logged on to their Icesave accounts several times since the first email and before the second without their accounts being blocked!0 -
I just transferred my money.

I just tried it - nothing!0

I got my second email and have requested the transfer - it was all very straightforward.
Not sure how they are selecting people (I'm near the end of the alphabet so it isn't that!).
Good luck to everyone else and hopefully the payment process will run smoothly.0 -

Is it like the moment of truth in Strictly Come Dancing - in no particular order?
But I just know on whatever basis FSCS do it, I'm bound to be last :rotfl: ."Success is the ability to go from failure to failure without losing your enthusiasm" (Sir Winston Churchill)0 -

Try it now!If you do not see any options below then you are currently unable to initiate your FSCS claim. Once you have received your email notification please log back into your account and initiate your FSCS claim.
I reckon I shall be a nervous wreck, this could go on for weeks!0
