New Supplier doing 1p a minute calls from UK landline to Mobile at all times.
0844 721 2525 , is the access number. You must dial the UK Mobile No in Full Intl Format.
See https://www.cleverates.com
I have no doubt this rate is a loss leader and want be sustained!

Thanks for that!
How do you dial an international mobile phone number though? Do you have to put 44 in front of it?
Thanks!0 -
You dial the access number 0844 721 2525 then 0044 followed by the mobile number, omitting the leading '0' of the mobile phone number.0

They appear to be a sister company of Penny Phone !!!! ,Abroadtel etc etc.PF.0

Maybe this is too early in the morning, but I find some of Cleverates FAQ page not exactly easy to follow!
They talk about 0845 rates 1/1/3.95p, and show peak/off peak, yet say that the 1p/min rate is at all times?
Why are all the 0845 rates put in so prominently, when 0844 is their connection number? Am I needing therapy?
Then 'How much do I pay exactly', quote "You only pay the Cleverates rate. There are no extra costs, VAT is already included" - but then "Your telecom provider charges a connection fee for each call. BT and NTL charge 5p".
Help! No wonder they don't want you to ask them individual questions!! I will tread carefully with this lot.I say what I like, I like what I say!0 -

I have spent the 1p tryibng this one out and when dialling a UK Vodafone number 00447876xx I am getting a fax tone.
Not so such a good saving if it does't take you to where you want to go!0 -
I have just tried it from a Landline and a mobile it worked fine you must dial it as they say in full intl format with a hash on the end eg 004478xx345xxx#
It is confusing on their site that they harp on about 0845 numbers when they dont appear to have any at the moment.
Only cable companies charge a connection charge to call dial through access numbers.BT charge a minimum call charge so if you were on phone for say 7 minutes call would only cost 7p.Its only very short calls or calls where you got no reply/out of range you would pay min call charge to BT.PF.0 -

Thanks for info.As i suspected a loss leader to wet ones appetite.0 -
Tried it - worked fine and 1p per min has been charged - so will use it over the Festive Season, when most folk are generally 'on' mobile - as it does whet my appetite and loss-leading is fine with me!I say what I like, I like what I say!0
