  • Just finished my 5 mile run :j:A:j:A:j:A
I feel so focused at the moment - I couldn't not do it - I seem to be ticking everything off my lists at the moment.
Just checked back on my Ebay and 3 of the items I listed this afternoon have bids on already so I am quite pleased with the quick progress there - I have another item which ends tomorrow which is currently up to about £7, so hopefully by next Sunday, when all these items end there should be a nice amount to withdraw from paypal.
A quiet evening this afternoon - DH is on his way back home, so a cup of tea and the last few episodes of LOST series 5 is in order
    Have a nice evening!

Whoooo - get you! What a productive day:T:T:T
The exact opposite to my day :o :rotfl:

Great going on Ebay, I've just come on here to list a few bits now. Feel terrible that I didn't do it earlier, so now I'll be lucky to get 10 things listed. But better than nothing I suppose.
    Have a good week ;)

Well done on the run, I think it's always hard to motivate yourself to go out as the day goes on.

Really good news on your finances as well, bet you feel a lot more in control now.

How is your daughter? We have been sent a letter for DS to have the swine flu vaccination so need to sort that out today.

  • Sorry not been around much - DD has swine flu, I've never seen her so poorly, and I've never been so worried, she is only 3. The hardest thing is getting the tamiflu down her as she hasn't eaten since Friday last week, last night we had to mix the contents of the capsule with sugar and force it down her which led to more distress
Today is the day of my interview, I am trying to stay focused and managed to do some prep last night, but I guess what will be, will be, Im going to do my best :o
Lots of bids on my Ebay listings, so hopefully it should reach a nice amount by Sunday, I need to keep the momentum going, so I am going to list more stuff this afternoon on 10 day listings, so that they end the following Sunday.
Have a good day if you're reading this x

  • Yay I got the job - they rang me about an hour ago :j
I can't start until they have all the CRB checks back which is taking about 6 weeks at the moment, but at least I know its there!
For the first time in ages, I now know we will be able to meet all our financial commitments, so that is a great place to start from.
DD seems to be a little better this afternoon - think the tamiflu has kicked in.
Have a good evening - have FIL and step MIL for tea, so it should be a nice evening

Brilliant brilliant news on your job - well done you, you must have impressed them to get back to you so quickly as well :j Eat some cake :D

Really sorry to hear your daughter is poorly, is she showing any signs of getting better. I know it's hard to get to speak to a Dr about advice for swine flu as you just get the helpline don't you? Really hope she's better soon. We've just had the letter through to have our youngest vaccinated and so will sort that out tomorrow.

    Have a lovely evening

  • Hi IMD - Thanks for your concern about DD - this evening, she is just starting to show signs of improvement - she has eaten a couple of spoons of pasta - the first thing she has had since Friday
DH and I are both shattered, as she is up for most of the night crying and coughing, (we've put her in our room where we can keep an eye on her being so young) but last night DH let me sleep in the other room so I could sleep before my interview. Dreading what tonight will bring! We have been having to shower her down with cool water twice in the night to bring her temperature down.
They said they would let me know before the end of the week about the job, but I secretly hoped (and thought) they would let me know today ;)
Planning to list some more stuff on Ebay tomorrow - how are your listings doing?
    Have a lovely evening too

  • Quite a good start to the day - won £1 on virgin scratchie which gave me enough to withdraw a fiver. Then checked e-mails to find 2 ebay sales of £15.99 and £13.44 so very pleased with that.
Had another restless night with DD, but DH had a banging headache so I got up early to do the school run - and luckily there was hardly any traffic today for some reason.
    Todays jobs are:-
    • write to mortgage lender of rented house to let them know I will be making overpayments for the next few months to cover arrears
    • try and list at least another 10 things on Ebay
    • send out Phoenix brochures to a couple more potential customers
    • buy milk and bread
    • post out pile of ebay parcels

If anyone is interested by the way, in buying beautiful quality greeting cards and wrap at prices much lower than Clintons etc (average £1 a card) please pm me and I'l be happy to post you a Phoenix Trading Brochure

Wayhey!!!! GREAT news about the job! Well done :T:T:T

Hope little DD is on the mend :(
My DD1 had The Swine in October - well at least the Doctor and I thought it was - they didn't swab her. I decided against Tamiflu and although she was quite ill for a few days, she soon got over it. The very high temperature was very scary though, we alternated Calpol and Ibrupofen, which did the trick.
Hope she's over the worst :)

Any news on OH's job? Sounds like things are getting sorted for you, which is great news!

Hope DD is a bit better today. Really good news about you making overpayments as well - 2010 is definitely your year.
