Does anyone know if this would be available to a household where a child is claiming DLA? I don't get Carers Allowance any more since I started work.

From the questions they asked me it appeared that you had to actually be the person named on the bill to get the rebate.
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.
  • I just rang them and got £40 off all together very happy with that it will be a big help.
    Cheers

  • strange, how come when i rang the them, the lady said to be its £20 off next gas bill, £10 off electricity bill, and then once again, another £20 off gas bill and another £10 off electricity bill, so the total would be £60?

You need to ring the number Jenny gave in the original post about the rebate
0845 602 2008 . It goes through an automated service to get through to the right department.

  • Thank you for this. I've just got the £60 for us. The lady on the phone said it didn't matter who got what benefit as the bill is in my OH's name yet I pay it so aslong as we get one of the benefits mentioned it was ok.
