Yes though i haven't received anything yet i applied and they are supposed to send you a cheque out.

Thanks. Just applied for this years rebates in Nov 06 & Feb 07. Was told offer for this winter ended on 21st Feb, so no money back just yet.
Anyone else had any luck with this winters payments?

Hi, following Matins money tip email, I contacted British Gas this morning, on behalf of my sister, and whilst being able to register her for NEXT winter fuel rebate, payments in November 2006 and Feb 2007,I was told in no uncertain terms the offer for 2005/2006 has ended. Definately.
Unless Martin can inform us otherwise of course, perhaps he has made a genuine error informing us that the offer was open until 28th Feb 2006.

Perhaps a wee correction would save a bit of hassle all round?

Yes you can, I have already had £20 off my gas Bill and received a cheque for £10 for my Electric..(Electric is pre pay meter), I received them both at the beginning of the February when i got my Gas Bill.

I also missed the deadline for my parents, I mentioned the 28th Feb Deadline but the guy said due to the demand they have closed earlier than anticipated.

But I have registered them for this year, as they are getting Gas and Elec from BG, they get £90 split between Nov 06 - April 07....result!
