I don't think you get them both at the same time do you.If i remember correctly they said something about sending one now and another late in the year?Darren0

second payment should be received by 30th april...im ringing them up tomorrow0
-
My letter stated that they would show on my next bill before the end of May so maybe that applies to cheque payments aswell.0

I don't think so as it does say before May.Anyway doesn't matter now as i called and they sent it 21st April(though not sure why it isn't here yet if sent then) so it should arrive soon and to give another week and call back if not here by then:)
Though can i check i only get Gas with them not electric but it only says i will get a checque for £20 but i thought it was £40 for Gas and £20 for electric if you get that with them too?Darren0 -

If I remember correctly, it was £60 (£40 and £20) if you applied before Dec 2005 and £30 (£20 and £10) if you applied after Dec 2005.0 -
Sorry to keep banging on about this but today i got my cheque for £20 but i thought you get £40 for Gas and £20 for Electric?
I am on a pre-payment meter and only have gas so was expecting £40.I registered in Jan.Darren0 -

If you applied in Jan you will only get £20. (and those who had gas also, would get £10 for that). In Jan the rebate amount went down by half. (so instead of receiving £40 for electric, you would receive £20, which you have).0 -
Ah right thanks Lol:)Darren0

Darren, this is because the rebate was spread over two winter bills. So if you had gas and electric, you'd get a total of £60 (Winter Bill of 2005 £20 gas, £10 electric, Winter Bill of 2006, the same) If you signed up in January you only qualify for the second half.
But do make sure that you are still on the books for a rebate, cos it has gone up to £90 total for next winter (I don't know the split between Gas and Electric, but I bet someone will)I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0
