I have now recieved £60 for gas and £15 for elec, the second £15 for elec due this month.
I was told i would recieve £30 gas and £15 elec in Dec and the same in Feb, so just awating the final elec payment.I am on prepayment meters and the gas rebate was credited to my top up card and elec was sent as a postal order.

my freinds gas and electric bill are in her husbands name and he works but his wife receives the relevant benifits would it be worth ringing BG to see if there mabey any discount on there bills? thanks

Having just read the rebate thread saying that you have until 28th feb to register i just called and was told i can expect £60 rebate on my gas and £30 on my electricity. Great!!!

I still haven't received my rebate. I have phoned them 7 times, on one occassion being told that they KNOW whos had it and who is trying it on-eh? I just keep getting fobbed off, last call to them was on Monday, so Im gonna give it a week then call again. If I don't get it I'm contacting Energywatch:p

i phoned a few times and was told that i may get it and i would be put on the list it depended on the companies running it- todate- nothing and OH is eligible, any ideas it would seem that its a lottery

Did anyone else get a letter saying they have stopped the rebate now but will be lowering prices(or something like that sorry it was a couple of weeks ago) for people who got the rebate?

Sorry to be so vague but as i said i got the letter 2 or 3 weeks ago and can't recall exactly what it said.

Yep...basically they're reducing the prices to be in line with those paying by Direct Debit. Not too sure how that works if you were getting the rebate and already paying by DD though

winter fuel rebates are finished but disabled can still get 8% off electricity and 4% off Gas so it's still worth a call same number just have your gas and electricity ref No's ready DON'T select any options when you call let them finish and a operator will answer you just say you want to sign up to the lower tariff it takes about 6 weeks but they will backdate it to what ever date you called them LOL
